Great very friendly
This is great little traditional country pub. The atmosphere was nice, with a log burner going and the pubs owners pet dogs quietly occupy the bar area. The staff were really friendly and helpful with a friends dietary requirements and the food was of good size portions, hot and tasty. Between us w
Very friendly pub, well priced food and generous portions. We will definitely be back for more!
Friendly service ,lovely meal....going back for carvery soon....,..... Sunday....we went back for the carvery . It was fantastic. We didn't go until 3pm ,& there was still plenty of the 3 meats, everything else was still hot & the veg were perfectly cooked. We were just visiting for 2 weeks but my b
Smartened up a treat. A lot brighter and more inviting than its been in a long while. Really nice new owners and great barstaff. Great little pub.
We have been a few times before C19 lockdown and we went back on 11th September 2022 for a Carvery. I'm sorry but if you know of a better Sunday roast within 20 miles I'll be amazed. The staff in the main bar are friendly enough and happy to help. The Sir serving the food is I believe the chef who c
We had a warm welcome to this lovely, well run village pub with a really friendly atmosphere. We found this place on the 3rd night of our holiday, and ate there every following evening. The menu is varied and reasonable, and the food is well presented and beautifully cooked. Thank you to the lovely
Always feel welcome. Staff are all lovely
Have known Bobby the chef and his wife Tracey for years always amazing carvery had not been in nearly 3 years because of covid. Still as good as our last vist as we knew it would be good value to at just under £11 for the carvery.
We all went for a meal there, 9 of us, there was a good choice of main courses. Enough to satisfy everyone. The meals were well cooked and good portion sizes. The steak and Ale pie, I had was excellent. Lovely crispy puff pastry topping with mash and veg. There was a good selection of desserts but t
Lovely little village pub with great staff. Cracking selection of ales, one in particular from a local brewery (stow fen). Been a few times on a Wednesday for the steak nights (fish also available) absolutely beautifully cooked tender ribeye steak! Nice little garden out the back, plentiful parking
Really lovely Christmas meals, and delicious, perfectly cooked ribeye steak. Looking forward to our next visit.
Good food, great locals pub. Sadly due to close, not sure it will continue as a pub. Would be a shame.
We visited for Sunday carvery as part of birthday celebrations. The food was very good, and excellent value for money. Pub garden could use some investment, but was pleasant enough for a drink after lunch. Staff very friendly and helpful - recommend!
Food was reasonably priced and tasted delicious. Plenty of parking. Nice village pub. Decorations are in the 70s style and perhaps could do with a bit of updating. Staff were pleasant. Sunday carvery was excellent.
Had lunch here by chance after traffic inspired detour. Standard pub menu but not average pub meals. Best chilli I've had at a pub in years and my son's lasagne equally tasty.
Our visit was a pleasure the land lady was welcoming and I enjoyed My pint of well kept Adnams Ghost Ship to late for lunch but most certainly will return to rectify that 👍
Very friendly service and nice food. The atmosphere in the pub was slightly cold though as fire not lit when we visited.
Recently moved to the area and was delighted to find a good local. Went for a Sunday roast and both the food and drink were superb and the service polite. Pub was also busy with some atmosphere, rare these days!
