Great quality pub food and wonderful service from this jolly crowd. The building feels a little more loved and it's gardens are lovely beside the river.

Went here for dinner yesterday afternoon and was very happy with the choice, quantity and quality of the food. We only met two members of staff, both the young ladies were extremely helpful and managed to get my wife's dinner just right. Dogs are allowed in the gardens so if it nice weather then an excellent place to finish a walk by the river! We will definitely go back in the near future

Lovely place, the staff were very friendly. Good selection of gins and the barman knew his stuff. Next time we'll stay and eat. Went back 3 days later on 19th June for my birthday breakfast. Happy, friendly staff first thing in the morning. Very good service and and excellent food. Thank you x

Brilliant location by the river with a fantastic garden area which is overlooked by the indoor dining spaces. The main building itself is wonderfully historic making for a good setting to sit back and relax. Food is good and stuff welcoming. Will recommend to friends and family.

A lovely place to drink. Family friendly, dog's are welcome. The toilets are great because they're well maintained, and I would definitely recommend the chips! for the hungry.

Previously the gibralter gardens, it has been decorated very nicely and has lots of tables. Good selection of drinks and food which are reasonably priced.Still functions as a pub aswell as a restaurant , with a carvery on Sundays. Would recommend!

Fantastic carvery on Easter Sunday with family, very reasonably priced, huge portions, and a great selection of meats and trimmings. The garden is huge and wonderfully picturesque directly on the riverbank.

Lovely staff and good basic food, just as we've come to expect from the Britannia brand. It was a chilly evening though and the restaurant /bar was not very warm.

We held my husbands birthday and our wedding anniversary party at the Britannia gardens marquee on Sunday 6 th May After a very poor start with communication between the main office and venue i was not impressed . But then I met Rachel who really was slung in at the deep end and jodie who managed to turn a very negative situation into a more positive one they worked so hard to make sure our party went well and I am delighted to say it was very successful We had a sit down afternoon tea with a live band (Rockney Rebels) going on into the evening A big thank you to Dave for running the bar and to all the staff for putting up the bunting and keeping the marquee warm Thank you team Britannia gardens Lesley and rodney
