We had our wedding here in December and from the first time we visited, we knew it was the venue for us. Anita helped us through the entire planning of our big day. She was so helpful and nothing was ever too much trouble. The communication was quick and professional, putting us at ease. Trevor and his team on the day were efficient, friendly and worked very hard to ensure that our day went smoothly. The service was fantastic and the food was delicious, especially the sticky toffee pudding. Thanks to Chef and the kitchen team. We are so grateful for every department that helped to ensure that the entire weekend was perfect. Check in was quick, breakfast was lovely and the rooms were spotlessly clean. The Penthouse suite was the perfect setting for the bridal party to get ready in the morning, so spacious and well lit, with added character from the exposed beams. The photos from the grounds look incredible. Thank you Dunston Hall for everything, our wedding day was perfect! Mark & Char x

What a little gem we found in this beautiful hotel. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel very welcome, the room was clean and spacious with an amazingly comfortable bed. The food in the Terrace was fantastic and the atmosphere and decor was relaxing, staff again were exceptional. We brought our pooch along and she was made to feel like a queen, all the staff gave her attention. Breakfast was plentiful and our doggo was allowed to dine with us (in of course a specific area). The grounds are beautiful and we also tried the driving range which had excellent facilities, the Trackman was great! We take our pooch to many hotels both in the UK and abroad and this has to be one of the best dog friendly ones. We definitely will be back!

A lovely short break. Food Spar and service was excellent. Room could be improved with better coffee making facilities and TV was very small and sound was poor quality. Otherwise everything else was lovely, clean and bed was comfortable

Very clean, beautiful place. Dunston hall is full of character and history. The staff were very polite and friendly. The pool area was quite small with not much space for many sun loungers which also aren’t aloud to be reserved, but if your a staying guest and get in past 8, it is very quiet especially on a week day. The rooms are a good size with en suite, although maybe the TVs could do with an upgrade. Our iron leaked abit also; but I’m sure if we’d asked for a new one that wouldn’t have been a problem. The bedroom ceiling fan was broken so only had the one speed setting, this maybe an issue in the summer for some. But also maybe this was just our room and we drew the short straw. Overall I would come here again for the evening.

The hotel is beautiful although it has vintage style theme in some parts of the building and also wouldn't class this as a luxury. The rooms are a bit tired looking and needs a huge refurb especially the bathrooms. Furniture could be changed to a more modern look. After a couple of other 4 star hotels we stayed at we expected a few things to be regularly available like a fridge in the room, slippers provided with the bathrobes we had. In the corridors we expected refreshments to be stored like sugar, tea, coffee, milk etc. Apart from the negatives there is a lot of positives too. Breakfast is amazing with a buffet style so don't miss it. Service is exceptional with friendly staff and anything you ask for they serve it quickly. The beds are very cosy too. The leisure facilities is a must to experience. A walk around the hotel is beautiful due to it's remote location and nature around.

Such a beautiful hotel. The rooms were spacious and the restaurant facilities were sublime. Service from the front desk was exceptional and helpful. It would be lovely to see more of the hotel itself. It's only 15 minutes into the city centre and so you don't feel you are missing out. The only down side was that our room was located on the first floor but in order to get to it, it was a bit of a maze. Having facilities for people to use other entrances to their 'house' would be useful.

Long way to rooms, confusing corridors and signage. Excellent leisure facilities, pool, steam room sauna, beautiful grounds. Lilac room excellent. Good breakfast but evening meal average.

We went to a wedding fair, the building is dark but incredible but the fair was a labyrinth through many rooms, it lacked coherence and there had to be guides to direct you, I think that sums it up! The garden terrace was lovely for coffee however.

I've just had the most amazing weekend at this hotel. A mystery weekend tour with A&P coaches. And it's a stunning place to stay. The hotel staff are all very professional and friendly, My room was very nice indeed, I took full advantage of the swimming pool and spa facilities too. The food was yummy 😋. I highly recommend to go here for a weekend of a week or anything. Very impressed. Il be going back again.

Really nice hotel with friendly staff , kids and pet friendly. Rooms has a comfortable beds and pillows. Breakfast was very fresh with a good option of healthy food but that was busy when I been there as that was during Christmas break. Spa is good but a swimming pool temperature a little bit cold but extra clean and helpful staff Changing room has a lots of safe lockers and good shower and shampoo and hair dryer Overall we had a lovely time at this hotel, highly recommended and we will be back again soon .

Dunston Hall Hotel is an interesting place that’s for sure. It’s an affordable price especially with breakfast included and the breakfast was very good. The gym and pool etc were great and much bigger than most hotels. They were understaffed on our first night so the bar and food service staff were under the pump for quite some time but they managed OK. The rooms are a bit spartan but you get what you pay for right? Would I go back - yes but only when the price is right.

Nice hotel, friendly staff, plenty of parking and rooms are nice if not a little dated. The building itself is amazing to look at and there is a bar, restaurant, gym, spa, golf and driving range on site so plenty to do. If you're looking for an out of the way quiet place this is a good choice, there is also a Tesco/fuel 5 minutes away if you need anything.

Location here was great and the communal bar areas are lovely and well presented. The rooms are a little basic and slightly dated but big and comfortable and well maintained. The spa and pool area is in much need of some maintenance and would benefit from having child free time slots.

Brilliant service, lovely spa, excellent treatments, tasty dinner, super breakfast, lovely lounge area. Reasonably priced and very warm and welcoming stay. For the price I don't think you could beat it for a spa with overnight stay. I will be coming back and recommending to friends and family.

Had a great weekend celebrating the wedding of Mark and Charlotte. Venue & staff were Great. My only comment as a negative would be a constant smell from the drains next to the wedding venue room. Didn't distract us from an awesome wedding.
