Britons Arms - Norwich - Photo album

Had a wonderful meal at The Britons Arms while in Norwich visiting with friends. Enjoyed a pork shoulder with potatoes, veggies and a great sauce. Reasonable pricing, nice atmosphere and fine service.
My RIP (romantically involved person) and I visited here around 6 pm on a sunny Saturday after a couple of hours of mildly energetic rowing on the Wensum. Consequently, we were both thirsty and hungry, but what’s more in a bit of a hurry, as we had tickets to the theatre (Julius Caesar - don’t bothe
Glorious old building. The cosy garden has pleasant views of medieval churches. Interesting menu with GF options. I enjoyed the tasty vegan pie. I like the way the default sausages on the menu are vegan (with meat available on request 🥗!)
If you want a cracking Sunday lunch in a stunning part of town, give this place a try. The plates are piled high of quality tasty food, and for a very reasonable price. The building also has a lot of historical charm about it.
Perfect place for a delicious evening meal. The menu is varied and creative, the venue snug and full of character and the chef and owner, Richard Ellis, an amazing chap who was happy to chat through his menu and his incredible culinary book collection which added interest to an already wonderful eve
We had Sunday roast here today and it was lovely. The staff were so busy but really polite and helpful. I'm vegetarian and my friend is vegan and they gave us options for the roast and dessert. The men had beef and cleared their plates. It's a beautiful 1500s building and the whole thing was just ac
Fantastic food in what can only be described as one of Norwich's heritage treasures. The team were warm, welcoming, helpful and very engaging. The chef tweaked a recipe for my friend due to dietry needs without a problem as it's cooked fresh on site. A brilliant experience, thanks folks!
Dropped in for coffee with friends while passing through Norwich. Quirky olde worlde building with friendly service. Hope to visit again and try the food as well.
We had veggie roast and it was delicious. Best veggie roast i had for a long time. The staff were really friendly and helpful.
What a gem!! Beautiful food and perfectly priced for lunch. I want to return to try something else on the menu! Cannot recommend highly enough. The food speaks for itself. Fabulous chef
I am stunned that the price of their Afternoon Tea is only £14 per person. The quality is astonishing for that price, they could charge a tenner more and it would still seem like good value. The best afternoon tea in Norwich.
I found out here by accident and turned out reallt good choice! They have really good menu options including foods and desserts. The atmosphere is recommended to read or stay shortly. The staff is nice!
What a great place! Fantastic, historical building and we stumbled across a little outside terrace, off the first floor, adjacent to the neighbouring church yard. Lovely spot on a sunny day. Only had cake and coffee which were all fine, the food other people were eating looked lovely. But... One iss
Lovely breakfast selection and very reasonably priced.
I met some good friends for lunch and had a wonderful time. We currently have a rabbit problem at home, so it was very pleasing to see rabbit on the menu. How could I resist?
Recently visited the Britons for the first time and thoroughly enjoyed a tasting menu. The restaurant is quaint and quirky, the service is warm and friendly, and the food is nothing short of excellent - Looking forward to making a return trip soon!
Love visiting Richard and his staff. Always great food and welcoming. The sea bass is amazing!
