Absolutely incredible food would definitely go back. Had quite a few vegan options and the staff were very friendly and were very reassuring about what was vegan or not. The nicest onion bahji's they tasted so good and homemade. The currys were all different flavours and the dahl was so lovely and spicy. Would definitely recommend this takeaway to anyone who is nearby.
in the same row as Papa Jon's and dominoes, we came to for pizza, but we left with a home cooked curry! it's so nice to have another choice in this row of shops.
we opted for the large- two person tray that you can see in the pictures. with samosas, curried chips (the wife's favourite) and this amazing kale pakora. the first to disappear was the crunchy light kale pakoras, lightly fries in a crunchy batter with only a hint of the oil they were cooked in about them. the samosas were small and clearly homemade, in a thicker pastry than you may be used to. here we had two chutneys that simply hit the mark, a minty spicey one and a redder sweet one. either or- both were perfect. The curried chips had a really authentic Indian street food tang and were perfect accompaniment to the sides.
from the main bento tray the three chilli spicy lamb was hot hot hot and so tender and suclent with a blend of spice and heat that clearly was not mass produced. this is home cooking as my Umma makes. I really hope they keep this standard of meat and curry sauce as so many Indian restaurants start great and then cut the quality of the meat. Here the curry sauce was so tasty that I even sent the curried chips in for a bath!
my wife had a succulent chicken affair that had a distinct smooth yellow sauce, it was mild and flavourful- but didn't hold a candle to the lamb with the three chilli's beside it!
then came the Dall and the rice. this is where I dropped a star, the Dall was weak and runny, it had all the promise of a well seasoned dish but just didn't deliver. the rice where generously packed but a shade under cooked, lacking and real depth and flavour. We left them and hqd at the amazing naan bread and paratha- which I'd advise should have been wrapped separately. As the oil from the paratha does nothing for the fragrance of the naan bread. Both were delicious and disappeared in minutes.
So waaghoba has some dishes that are totally stella- it's home cooked feel is exactly what this row of shops needs and at 12.95 for a bento tray I think it's excellent value for money, I'd really like to try their vegan tray as this kind of 'thali' style is famous for having amazing tasting vegetarian cuisine- hopefully they'll fix that daal!
overall brilliant! I'm looking forward to going to get a pizza for the kids and a Waaghoba for me and the wife!
I recently ordered food from this Indian takeaway restaurant and it was absolutely fantastic! The food was incredibly flavorful and cooked to perfection. The portions were generous, and every dish was packed with authentic Indian spices and flavors.
What really stood out to me was the excellent customer service. The staff were friendly, attentive and went above and beyond to ensure my order was correct and delivered in a timely manner. They even included complimentary extras, which was a lovely surprise and made me feel like a valued customer.
Overall, I highly recommend this Indian takeaway restaurant to anyone looking for delicious and authentic Indian food. The quality of the food and the customer service were both exceptional, and I will definitely be ordering from here again in the future. A definite five-star rating from me!
Girlfriend and I shared a biriyani, naan and bhaji. Wonderful flavours, great portion and reasonable price. We live near Namaste and love it there, but will definitely order from here again many more times.
Love the bento box offerings! All the food was great, delivery was speedy and the driver was super friendly. Would recommend if you like to eat something a bit different 👍🏻
Authentic Indian take away. Bit pricey but well worth it! They also have indo-Chinese and manchurian!! And do bento boxes.
Amazing food, non oily, fresh, value for money and authentic taste. They serve the best gobi manchurian and Biriyani in norwich. Delivery is quick too. This is definitely the place to order from if you are looking for Genuine Indian cuisine!
Keep it going, looking forward for Indochinese box, I have become such a regular customer that I had an opportunity to taste the new additions to the menu.
Now I have lost count of takeaway/delivery orders.
I have tried every curry (and combination of curries with curry on eating box) on the menu. Not a single star I can takeaway for this outlet. Although my all time favourites include fish curry, chicken Kolhapuri and delhi wala butter chicken, tofu palak, paneer kadhai and assorted veg bhuna, lamb dishes are also outstandingly delicious. Every dish including rice ans naan are perfectly made fresh.
The only thing I would suggest is to have curry only eating box, that allows me to feast on my favourite delicious authentic dish with a choice of naan (with chicken and lamb) and rice with fish curry.
First time in past 10yrs I had a Bombay fish curry made to such a great authentic taste from this palce.
I won't hesitate to give this place 7 stars for fish curry, delhi butter chicken and Kadhai paneer.
This outlet provides authentic all round Indian dinner. My search for a proper Indian takeaway dinner in Norwich ends, this is the place I would order, if I don't feel like cooking any day. Very kind reception, tasty authentic food, good selection of dishes in the menu which I hope would grow with time, selection of portion size to suite small to big appetite. Must try if you are after a proper Indian takeaway dinner.
For those who are looking for a sweet korma or a bland butter chicken, time to have authentic Indian taste buds. This place unfortunately is not a usual "Indian" takeaway i.e. food cooked by anyone but an Indian chef.
Lovely tasty options for curries and very different from other Indian takeaways. Huge variety for vegetarians or vegans too. Onion bahjis from here are elite. 100% will return
Absolutely fantastic mouth watering Vada pav.
Super chk chilli and amazing chicken biryani.
Loved it.
Thank you Very much.
Great food! I loved the Hakka chilli chicken and Bombay fish curry. Great service too
Amazing food and flavour. The best curry I have had in a long while. Please can you do a standard 'take away' dish size! We will definitely be back.
We have tried a few times through delivery (Gobi Manchurian, Chicken 65, Chilli Chicken, Curry Box, Onion Bhajis, Jeera rice, Chicken Biryani and Lamb Biryani). Food is really amazing and very tasty. I would vouch it for the best authentic South Indian taste available in Norwich. Though the quantity might be little less, which is justified with the quality and the taste I am really convinced. We love it and will keep ordering.
Nice n tasty food. Pure Indian tasty by Indian.
Keep doing great things 👍
I had a ‘Curry on eating box’ and was recommended by the lovely staff to have the lamb rogan and butter chicken. Was delightful! The naan ( I chose garlic) was one of the best I’ve ever had.
I chose spicy and they didn’t disappoint.
Gorgeous food, not your normal oily creamy curry…. authentic and a bargain price!
Thoroughly recommended!
Thank you x
Very tasty food, most authentic Indian taste & a service second to none. We ordered an Indian buffet lunch for son’s first bday and all guests were extremely happy with the delicious food. Very accommodating to customise best to a customer need & quite flexible. Highly recommended & probably best and most value for money caterers in Norwich.
Delicious. ... proper indian taste..thanku so much...finally found a good Indian restaurant in norwich.
Such depth of flavour just really surprised at how spicy it was though. Wasn't clear on ordering which ones are mild. I can eat a medium hot and the butter chicken, korma and rogan josh were the hottest I've ever had.
