Lobster Pot Nottingham

Great fish restaurant, and well worth going to celebrate a special occasion. Friendly staff and most importantly the food is delicious. We had a seafood platter which is recommended for two people. We both left full. The atmosphere has a busy buzz about it, but loud enough to be a problem. Would happily go again. My personal favourite was the queen scollaps and the cooked oysters

Meals ordered: Garlic Bread Prawn Spring Rolls One whole lobster grilled with garlic and butter Drinks ordered: Ginger beer for me and one Appletiser for the lady. Price Summary: Prices of meals were decent and fair. Meal Review: After looking for a place to have a nice date night and neither of us had had lobster before, we decided to try lobster and the first location that came up was the lobster pot. Ambiance was quite Christmassy which is a nice touch given the season and the usual chit chat on every table as expected. We were greeted by Corwin and he asked if we had made a reservation which my fiancée confirmed affirmatively and we ushered to a table in no time. Corwin then took our order and we had drinks served in minutes. Corwin’s service was top class excellent and we were very happy he attended to us. Right! Onto the meals we went! Both garlic bread and prawn spring rolls were served together and they were lovely, garlic bread had a nice garlic and herbs spread on top and a nice crunch on the bottom. Prawn spring rolls was hot and delightful but the presentation was a bit lacking. I must say, the Lobster was firm to cut and bite at first but we liked it. It could do with a little bit more grilling and seasoning per fiancée’s opinion and I slightly agree. The butter wasn’t soggy to overwhelm the dish but plenty enough to enjoy the lobster. The egg fried rice on the other hand demands a bit of attention because it wasn’t really appetising to complement the lobster which is a let down. Overall, we had a nice date night and I will recommend this restaurant to anyone who is yet to try lobster.

Honestly the best overall experience I've ever had at a restaurant. The food was stunning, the service was second to none, and the atmosphere was cosy, relaxing, and fun. I went for my birthday and they made it feel extra special with little touches I wasn't expecting. Would highly recommend this to anyone who likes seafood.

I have been to the Beeston Lobster Pot, so I was expecting great quality but this still exceeded expectations. We ordered a few starters to share which we unfortunately forgot to photograph. They were all very good, especially the Haddock Chowder. For main course we ordered the Ultimate Seafood Platter which had delights of lobster, clams, crabs, prawns and oysters. The lobster had a choice of sauces and we had the cheese option this time. We enjoyed the evening tremendously, not only because of the marvellous food but also because of the magnificent service, which was friendly and informal, making things very comfortable. The overall cost is a little more than other restaurants but I feel that the quality of the food and the excellent service easily justify the extra cost. I have spoken to my dining partner and we will be returning to try other options.

Highly recommend if you love seafood! My partner & I celebrated our 10yr anniversary here & we weren't disappointed. It's an intimate restaurant, but not small. The staff are friendly, inviting & attentive. We had some of the most delicious sea food I've ever had & we're planning our next visit asap!
