As a German citizen I am not used to pub culture and I am overwhelmed with the experiences I’ve made in this pub so far. As it is very cheap, it is a place well suited for students but also for everyone else to have a good time.
Also the staff is always ordinarily nice and polite!

Had a friends birthday yesterday at Rose and Crown. Great atmosphere, love the food, quick service but most importantly brilliant service, especially Anthea, she was very busy but was attentive to us, made sure we were ok and we were lucky to be served by her. Booking our Christmas meal there.
This was our first visit to the Rose & Crown and what a little hidden gem it is. Upon our arrival we were greated by a very friendly member of staff, nothing was too much trouble and the chef even put Happy birthday on a plate as requested with our desert. Brilliant pub, good food, good music and good service. Can’t ask for more, a lady called Anthea went above and beyond to help us out and make sure everything went smooth for a surprise birthday party!
It's quite an average pub very close to the Nottingham university campus. Lots of space, some beers to select from. It also was pretty quiet that day as not many students were around. Didn't try any food as they stop serving at 10pm.
Lovely pub. Staff is very friendly and a good service. A good atmosphere with a DJ playing some oldies but goodies music.

Handy location next to Jubilee Campus. Cheap and cheerful, service is quick, lots of choice on the menu. The flame grilled stuff is tasty. We sat on an outside table, which is right by the main road, so not the cosiest beer garden, but functional.
Stayed locally due to visiting someone in hospital.. the staff here were amazing.. so friendly and welcoming.. food and drinks met expectations but staff and atmosphere made the our unexpected trip so much easier. Definitely worth a visit for a home from home welcome!
