The best place to find delicious and variety of mouthwatering burgers in Nottingham.
The place was decorated in quirky, Americana throughout and had a relaxed feel. The staff were young, friendly, efficient and helpful. Annie's menu is huge and every burger can be made to suit vegetarian or vegan needs.
Highly recommend this place if burgers are tour thing.
Loved the food here! Ordered all our burgers with chicken, the meat in one of it was quite dry though. But except for that everything was great. They have a lot of different burger options to choose from (all the burgers come with a side of your choice).
You might have to wait during the weekends since it’s usually crowded. The staff were extremely friendly and sweet . Had a lovely time here.

Amazing burgers. Awesomeness in burgers . Good presentation, friendly chefs, professional staff. Best burgers in Nottingham look out for promotions
The most legendary burger restaurant in Nottingham. Had this on my bucket list for very long. The most unique thing about the menu is with about 60-70 burgers on offer, all of them can be made meaty, vegetarian or vegan. Annie is not losing out on any customer by being so flexible. I had the Greek burger and a Mexican rango ( I don't remember exactly). Both of them had a good quantity to keep you full for half a day at least. They have a lot of drinks on offer as well. Annie's has a small tavern beneath the main shack which has attractive happy hours and pub quizzes regularly. They loved my picture on instagram so they shared it and gave me goodies as well. Such a great experience, definitely going there again and again.
Awesome burger, lovely taste. The most important thing is they can make 'the-meat-like' patty for someone who's vegetarian or who can't eat any pork. The portion is really big for woman, especially for Asian Woman. But the taste is really awesome. Can't wait to go back here!
I have no idea as to why anyone would rate this place a negative. It's just perfect. Never been to a place who have this wide range of options to choose from for a single food item. I enjoyed my afternoon very much and would highly recommend this place to my friends. Service was spot on, our burgers were on the table in no time. I was really impressed by the service, ultimately that is what which brings a smile to someone and every customer around me had big smiles, which says a lot. The place is well lit, ambience is good, I mean there is something really catchy about Annie's Burger Shack. My heart is still there. 😊
Very unique menu with different and well thought out options. So many options to choose from. However, booking is time-consuming (email is the best way but takes time to get replies), and food can take a while to come depending on the time and day of visit (although it was definitely worth the wait!)
If you’re hungry for a good burger (or two) and you’re in, around, or even passing through Nottingham then Annie’s Burger Shack is the place for you.
So what is it that makes these burgers so special? Is it the quality of meat, or the blend of extra flavours she mixes into her burger recipe? An undercurrent of garlic plus a waft of Cajun spice makes this the tastiest burger I have tried, again and again and again. Just to be sure, you see, that it wasn’t a fluke the first time….Or is it the bewildering selection that give each burger their name? The Lemmy burger, a burger with a Jack Daniels sauce, the German burger with a dollop of sauerkraut, the Robin Hood (with broccoli ‘trees’, of course), there’s even a Sunday roast burger with gravy and a Yorkshire pudding. Fusion food with a hint of hilarity. A
What a great place to drop in to after a hard day shopping in Notts. The food was lovely, fresh, and tasty. One little thing, my burger could have been a little hotter and melted the cheese as it felt a little cold.
But overall chips and onion rings spot on, and the other meals were perfect.
The drinks were spot on homemade lemonade, and will return soon.
A great place for burgers. There's 30+ different burger options, plus a couple of different hotdogs to choose from, so you'll probably find something you haven't tried before. We've had both beef and chicken burgers from here before, and they've been delicious.
They had a good range of beers as well, with craft beers from Brixton, Camden and Goose Island, plus several lager options.
The milkshakes are also quite special, with the option to add alcohol to it to add another flavour (we tried the Nutella chocolate milkshake which Cointreau is added to).
This place was a great find, the food was great, plenty of choice with both food and drinks.
The staff were friendly and welcoming.
Reasonably priced too.
Would recommend you try the Frickles, not for everyone but we loved them
Will definitely be visiting when we are next in Nottingham
Not been to Annie's for a long time, the last time we went it was absolutely buzzing and there was a great atmosphere. This time the place wasn't that busy so the atmosphere just wasn't there for me.
That said the food was great, my burger (pictured) with the pulled pork was very nice and well cooked, I chose the Cajun wedges to accompany, they were huge, I was expecting them to be a little hard in the centre judging their size, but no, they were lovely and fluffy in the centre and just right in the spice. I thought the price was a tad high considering there was no slight side order of salad or onion ring, but it was very tasty.
Would I go back? Yes it is likely that I would go back for a special occasion like a birthday treat but with a spend of over £26 for a burger and 2 pints I won't be a regular, sorry
Great place! Went on Good Friday, was really busy, pre booked a table. We got machos to share for starters and then burgers and fries for main. Portions are generous so wouldnt want nachos if not sharing. Service was great even though busy, food was delicious! Ordered the new england and north carolina burger and chicken wings. All were amazing, felt full after. Only thing id say is the tables are really close together, so if you have a pram with you make them aware when you book a table so you can manouver easily!
Noisy Saturday evening. Busy and vibrant. My first visit ahead of an evening comedy gig nearby. I enjoyed an excellent classic cheese burger with skin-on fries fresh from the kitchen and piping hot, followed by a banana split milkshake. All as good as I’ve ever had and better than almost anywhere else I’ve tried recently. Had a lovely chat with Annie who is definitely real and very friendly. She’s also a genuine New Englander, making this as authentic a burger shack as you’ll find. Loved my first visit, can’t wait to visit again with family.
Great place in the heart of Nottingham City centre. I didn't want a beef fajita burger and they said they could do it with whatever meat. I had a chicken fajita burger. So incredibly tasty. Service was great and good was exceptional.
Visited here on a Sunday. Had the Lemmy burger, was unsure I would like it because of the whiskey mustard but wanted to try something different, and it was amazing! Decent price for a burger, a good portion of fries, and not a bad price. Atmosphere was nice, not too loud, not too busy. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Would definitely like to go back again, was a damn fine burger.
A++++, Highly recommended!
I went with friends for the first time and the burgers were the best burgers ever. We all enjoyed our meals and it was definitely worth the drive from Peterborough to experience it! Service was great too.
Absolutely love this place! Have been twice now and both times were amazing. Excellent food quality, lovely cocktails and soft drinks, friendly staff, great environment. The massive range of burgers on the menu means there's something for everyone. Would definitely go again!
This place is amazing, the staff as you walk in to the ordering and food delivered to your table, faultless, delicious and I want to live here! Top draw guys, bang on! I chose the johnny vegas and my son had the blue burger with curly fries, we also shared some buffalo wings, delicious!!
Tasty authentic Rhode Island burgers! Worth a try.
Each burger is an original recipe with the choice of 100% meat, vegetarian or vegan. Great for those who want the same order, but have certain dietary restrictions.
American-style place with outdoor seating available. Perfect for large groups and families. Kid-friendly.

Great atmosphere. Space for larger groups or solo diners.
Service from Rika was great, giving us lots of insight and options & is clearly experienced with the menu. She was also super friendly in giving advice on transport around the city as we were travelling.
Got a Carribbean burger with a scotch bonnet on top & was a great choice with amazing jerk flavour enhanced with a pineapple. The spice from the bonnet worked super well & tasted great dipped straight into a pot of cheese too.
Really surprised with the Louisiana burger. Initially I wouldn't have chosen a burger with a bourguignon style sauce but I had a taste and it was one of the nicest burgers I've tasted in a while. It wasn't drenched in sauce so the buns weren't soggy. And the mushrooms had an amazing taste as if they were marinated.
The Cajun wedes are super good & huge! I would definitely pick the wedges over Cajun fries it works so well.
Went on a quiet drizzly Saturday lunchtime and had a wonderful experience. Really amazing setting. Excellent food. Incredible range of choice. Lovely staff. Daytimes ideal for a quieter but cool dining experience for couples or families. I've no doubt their weakend evenings are off the charts in terms of the entertainment they have advertised.
