We had a family lunch here, and have visited many times. Service was good, & food fine. Would have preferred my fish & chips closer to piping hot, than acceptably warm - as it was at the table, but not a big issue.

Went for breakfast and thought we would take a gamble. Absolutely perfect. Poached egg on point, quality sausages and bacon and a home made hash brown to top it off. The service was great. Please don’t change anything. See
you next weekend!

Food is very good. Service needs improving, Very haphazard. The younger staff are very polite and listen. The supervisors/management are often abrupt and dont acknowledge requests very well. A little pricey, but servings are generous.

Always an excellent meal in great surroundings and really good service. An important place for our family get togethers. Lovely!

Recently moved to the area so visited for Sunday lunch. Really nice environment and super lovely staff. The venison special had sold out but the confit duck was a tasty back up. Looking forward to returning for a cracking roast.

Had a lovely meal with family, everyone really enjoyed their meal and the bakewell tart pudding was delicious. Only slight issue we had was the lack of sausages for our toddler- was the only thing she really wanted, but she's a bit of a diva! Overall, would eat there again for sure 😊

The Ferry is a lovely old pub in a very nice position near the river. Lots of character and history to it. There's a lovely beer garden too which is probably busy on a Summer night but we were there mid afternoon and it was almost empty. The food was okay but not outstanding and the service seemed very slow considering the lack of customers.

Came in for an evening meal, the staff were friendly and helpful and polite, the atmosphere is great, although the chef appeared a little frustrated when he came out swearing to get himself a cup of coffee!!! The only issue I had with the food is that the seeds were left in the chillies which garnished the Korean chicken starter and we're overpowering. Otherwise everything was great and we had a nice evening. It's convenienlltly next to a tram stop so very easy to get to. I hope to go back soon.

Came for a family meal, absolutely lovely historical pub/restaurant! Our server Jane went above and beyond, truly fantastic service to say they were short staffed, an amazing example of someone who is on top of their job and focus on customer service, a real credit to the team at the Ferry Inn! Thank you very much for a lovely visit, we'll be sure to come back :)

I went with my dog as part of her training. The service we received was brilliant. The staff could tell my dog was nervous. And instead of me taking her to the bar. They came and took my drink and food order.
Thank you very much, for taking some of the stress away. And accommodating us.
We will be back

Decent choice of beers, really good food, a decent amount of choice for vegans and veggies. Staff are all lovely too.
I go here a lot and you should too!

Just visited for a lovely 3 course dinner, the staff were so accommodating for our needs, the food was cooked to perfection and the staff couldn’t do enough for us. We will definitely be returning and pleased to say this is our new local.

With the sun finally appearing, I was searching for a place for a sit down full english with outdoor seating to enjoy the sun. I was initially going to go to a chain restaurant nearby, but decided to use this pub as the brunch menu sounded great. The service was exceptional with staff bringing my drinks and food to the table really quickly, checking on me half way through and taking my plate swiftly afterwards. The breakfast was delicious, well presented, hot and with all the condiments I could wish for. Overall, I really enjoyed a great full english in the sun with some peace and quiet in a nice beer garden. Well done to the Ferry Inn team, I'll be back again soon! 🙌

Decided to book for Friday lunch. This little gem of a place is starting to get a reputation of good food and good service which today only reinforced that. On arrival we were informed by the manager that The Ferry Inn is now a Cashless site. Which means all payment to be made by card. Which is this increasingly electronic age makes sense.
As for the service itself Jane and Helen were our servers. Putting us at ease making us feel like part of the family which seems to be the mantra. This approach seems to be working.
The food itself was cooked perfectly ( I had Sirloin). My wife chose the Salmon Florentine which again she reported as AMAZING.
The whole team in this place seems to bounce offf each other which, in my opinion, just adds to the ambience.
Please when paying remember this is a Cashless venue. And be mindful this is not your servers fault
