I called Holly Tree Farm asking if we could be fit in due to booked tables online. They immediately said of course we can fit you in. We arrived and it we were told we could sit anywhere. We sat down and the staff were so friendly. Kim I think she was the manager was amazing we asked about the Xmas dinner but they were fully booked but asked me if I wanted to be phoned if there was a cancellation. I said yes. She took all my details. I have only been there once and it was about 4 years ago. So 1st time back and the food was amazing. We had carvery and the takeaway dessert. The team was amazing cannot thank enough for the most pleasant experience. We were looking for a closer carvery to go to. And we have found it. Forgotten gem we'll be back Saturdays mostly but thank you again

My first visit on a Saturday lunchtime. Nice, relaxing atmosphere and not overly busy. I ordered beef and ale pie and my friend had chicken and bacon salad. The food arrived promptly and the waitress was happy to bring me some extra gravy. Can't fault the food for the price. Mashed potato was particularly delicious. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Will definitely return.

Large carvery restaurant with a good size parking, nice terrace and different spaces inside.
The food is quite good, there are good options for a carvery and a nice variety of vegetables.
The annoying part is that you have to order at the bar and then pick up your food. Also, depending on who is serving you, they seem to be quite greedy with the meat slices. Sometimes the cauliflower is not fully cooked.
Do I recommend them? Yes. They offer good quality in general.
For £11 you gave a large plate full of 3 types of meat and lots of vegetables.
Tip: they do also delivery (that's how I found them)
Enjoy!

This was our first visit here. The staff were friendly and welcoming and very helpful. They'd ran out of beef at the carvery but we were informed about it before we paid so wasn't a problem.
The selection of vegetables were good and we enjoyed what we had. I think the only downside was some of the vegetables were about gone or has ran out when we were served but it was a Sunday fairly late on so to be expected. We were happy with what we had.
Have to give the staff serving the carvery an extra mention and thank you.... It was really warm that day and you could tell they were struggling with the heat. Even though they were constantly busy and really hot they carried on with a smile and friendly service...
Will definitely be returning

On par with the other farmhouse inns around the country. The Turkey was noticeably succulent today, I was lucky enough to get served from a freshly cooked turkey.

Family meal for my mother in laws birthday & everyone in our 10 person party was catered for.. 6 adults had the carvery.... plenty of choice & all piping hot & fresh. 4 teenage kids ordered off the menu,
As usual we ordered but couldn't finish our desserts but we had fun trying.

Took my mum for breakfast , lovely food , atmosphere very warm and welcoming .
Was served at the bar by a lovely gentleman Richard which was very attentive and was a pleasure to have a conversation with him so much so that we ended up not just popping in for breakfast but actually stayed longer for a couple of lattes . The manager kim took the time to also come over and talk to us and we ended up sharing a conversation about our love of our fish pond and aquarium . Will defiantly return and recommend , having been a manager in hospitality myself for many years they both stood out as passionate about there job role , establishment and team and customers which is defiantly the kind of individuals you need for a thriving business . Thanks Again

Last minute plans to go here, so phoned and spoke to Kim, who said there shouldn't be a problem with finding a table. Once arrived we were quickly shown to our table by Kim, who then explained that it was really busy due to being kitchen staff down. The place was very busy and we did wait a while in the queue but let me say it was worth the wait. There was four different meats available and plenty of veg and potatoes. The food was amazing. Every member of the staff were friendly and helpful, and regardless the problems they may have been experiencing had a smile on their faces. Would highly recommend coming here to eat.

Phoned ahead for a table and spoke to the lovely Kim, who got us a table with shirt notice. It was very busy due to less staff being in, however that didn't mean standards had dropped. We did have to wait awhile in the queue, but it was definitely worth the wait. Four meats available and plenty of potatoes and vegetables. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Jacob came back to do a table check was very polite and smiley. Would definitely recommend to friends and will return.

The only carvery we’ll go to in Nottingham.. good Sunday dinner( the men who carve the meat give you a healthy portion of meat). When we went today it was ram packed (still worth it), we were sat right near the kids play area and as kids do when they get too hyper and excited( not mine or my sisters as we teach them how to behave in public and at home)they were throwing around big soft blocks, climbing up on the arcade machines and diving off ,doing superman..and inevitably ended up throwing a big soft block on our table and spilling over my sister’s drink all over us and the table. The manager Carla( I think that’s her name) couldn’t of apologised enough. She addressed the situation promptly and professionally, replacing my sisters drink, offered a new plate of food( which wasn’t necessary) and was lovely enough to offer us all free desserts to take away with us. Only advice don’t sit right next to the kids play area if there’s unruly kids in there 😂

1st time coming here for a Sunday carvery. A little confusion over quantity of people I'd booked for ( I'd booked 12, they had 10 down) but we ended having an extra 2 come along and the team were brilliant and accommodated the additionals. It was incredibly busy, we waited approx 15mins to order food and drinks at the bar and then queued for carvery for 50mins, a little annoying but clearly a reflection of quality if so many were there and people told me it was always this way on a Sunday. Food was lovely, plenty of it. Staff were amazing and despite being very overwhelmed with how busy it was, they were all smiling and couldn't do enough to ensure our party and others had a pleasant visit. We would come back again, especially on birthdays as the birthday gal/boy gets a free slice if cake 😋👌😉
