Really nice food, great atmosphere - but busy on Sunday morning

Had a fantastic time here last Sunday evening. Great food and a lovely atmosphere. Singer was fab and so was our waiter, Martin. Could not believe that he was so new to the place, he seemed like he'd been there ages! Fantastic service. Will definitely go back for food and or just drinks.
Had breakfast and lunch here now, really enjoyed both. Friendly staff, fantastic food and relaxing atmosphere � would definitely recommend.
Been a couple of times and found the staff to be great and a very welcoming atmosphere. Food is delicious and definitely worth the money in my opinion. Will definitely return and recommend to friends and family

We had our work Christmas staff night with you last night - Thursday 15th December. Wow! What a treat of a night you gave us on every level! The food was superb and excellent value. All of your staff were friendly, professional and so accommodating. A special mention to Geoff - your flexibility and service was outstanding. Thank you from all of us at Windmill. Great midweek night out,we didn’t eat there but the excellent bar staff helped make a special evening.Nothing was too much trouble and they certainly know their cocktails and shots!
Had New Year's Eve at copper it was the best ever great food staff are second to none helpful friendly nothing is too much trouble thank you so much for a perfect evening !!!!
I met up with an old school friend here on Tuesday evening. We had a lovely evening catching up and enjoyed the ambiance. The food was delicious ( we had the goats cheese burger and lasagne) and the service was attentive but unobtrusive. I made contact after our visit as I had been concerned at being given two plastic straws in my tonic water. I was met with a positive response that this is currently under review so can only say good things about our experience.
Lovely place inside with nice decor, we ordered eggs florentine and an all day breakfast.
Eggs were not runny at all but tasted nice, breakfast was nice, beans could have been warmer and in all fairness I’d have liked more beans.
Coffee was excellent !!
Would I come back again ?

Our first visit, but it won't be our last. Good food - We had the fishcake ciabatta and lattes. Both were excellent, as were the chips.
Friendly staff and comfortable seats. Well worth a visit.
Early evening visit for myself and the wife. Unfortunately the veggie burger was not on due to a shortage of brioche buns (try the Coop next door), so I had the Buddha Bowl and the wife had the Scampi. Both dishes arrived quickly and were well presented and quite tasty. Service was really good and the meals, I thought were good value.

Having checked local places around Mapperley where we could get early Sunday morning breakfast, we found Copper open from 9am. Having phoned ahead to make certain, we were the first arrivals, just after 9am. It was really nice to see smiling, helpful staff who were helpful in advising on the breakfast menu - an Full English and a salmon omelette. The black Americano was very good, as was the decaf latte with oat milk (almond and soya also available).....food was good and it was an overall nice experience and way to start Sunday.

Update on our terrible September visit (see below) - Tom the manager contacted me after I posted the last review for more information and offered to put a tab behind the bar if we would give them another go. We went last night and I'm happy to say it was much improved. Staff were attentive and efficient, food (we all had the Sunday lunch options) were good portions and tasted fantastic. Wine was also good along with the sticky toffee pudding. Still some issues with several items not available on the menu but overall it was a very positive experience. Thank you
Table requested hadn't been reserved for us, weren't advised several dishes weren't available until we ordered - no chicken dishes available, no burgers available (apparently because they didn't have any cobs), limited vegetarian options of just 2 mains - one of which was a burger which wasn't available due to lack of cobs. Vegetarian in our group ended up with nothing to eat as they didn't like the one remaining option. Fish and chips that 3 of our group had - the fish was over cooked and dry. The girl serving was friendly which was more than could be said of the bloke. We definitely won't be rushing back.
Visited Copper today for the first time. Hubby and I were looking for a full English to start the day. Took the dog with us too. Staff were exceptionally friendly, was busy but not full and breakfast was served quickly and the best we've had for quite a while. Highly recommend

Visited for breakfast on Sunday, we had the breakfast bap, eggs florentine and a kids breakfast. It was all delicious. Staff were extremely friendly. Would definitely recommend :)
Eat here regularly had a mishap last Friday food wasn't great sent it back but the lady who was in charge gave us a free drink and my steak was upgraded to correct it, however this was a rare thing still will visit an eat there thankyou

Visited here to try food for the first time off their 2 for £12.95 main foods. (Offer Monday to Wednesday) this menu isn't on the tables so you have to enquire which food is included or check a poster on the wall or the website.
Both ordered beef Lasagne and the food came out in good time and was piping hot and tasty.
Then took advantage of their 241 drinks on prosecco and cocktails! The cocktails included aren't listed which is why I've uploaded a photo to showcase what is included. (Says all cocktails and both drinks must be the same)
Very enjoyable evening, with great food and drinks plus friendly staff, will be returning.
Would of been 5/5 but with no cocktail menu on the tables or website and the food menu is only visible by a poster or an image on the website, this could easily be sorted by having these on the table menus or just a separate sheet with offers.
Great little cafe with vegan options & lovely outside seating area. Service slow but otherwise fab venue
as a regular i couldn’t recommend copper mapperley more! the staff are super kind and funny, the food is AMAZING and the community around the quiz always makes for the best night :)
