This was a highlight of my evening in town. The atmosphere is very relaxed and has a Mexican theme enhanced by a smooth Mexican soundtrack. I personally ordered pulled pork and chicken fajitas which were delightful. The service was fast and the staff were friendly overall a great experience. One minor downside is that the table was slightly sticky and the portions were quite large

We were promptly showed to our table.Good interiors and liked the Mexican hats one could wear while dining to get the feel.Very pleasant server.Good food but slow service. We had informed that we have a movie starting in an hour's time and if food could be delivered in time. We were promised to be served soon but because of delay we have to pack our burgers as takeaway. But would still visit cz everything else was great

Always really nice food here, great atmosphere and friendly staff.
I come here a lot and can definitely say I’ve never been let down with the food, although it is a little overpriced.
There isn’t really a better Mexican place I can think of in Nottingham so I would recommend here as my first choice.
They do great cocktails here, great for a date night!

Really tasty street food and a large selection of beers and cocktails. Quick friendly service (although we did dine at a quiet time) and a really nice atmosphere make this a great place to eat it just for drinks.

We ordered the ultimate fajitas which included stake pork and chicken. It was delicious. Consists of 6 fajita rolls and you can order extra with no charge, as well as sauses. Really happy with the food and service

We used vouchers on their app for the £1 tacos on tuesday/Thursday, the staff were really friendly and helpful and accommodating. Great value for money, nice atmosphere and some cute Mexican hats in the booths made for some cute photos. We had a really enjoyable time and felt welcome.

Love this restaurant. When we need some good ribs or tacos then we always go here.

Loved as always. Got a glass of free prosecco too as it was Mothers Day 😁 quick and attentive service.

Food was very good value for money and this family of 5 all enjoyed their experience. From a full rack of ribs shared between the twins, a burrito for number one child, southern fried chicken & pulled pork and surf and turf for the parents. It was all good!
The restaurant did seem to be slightly under-staffed though.

Fast service, nice food. Good place to go.

Try the lunch menu it’s cheaper than other menus Monday to Friday 11am to 5pm.

We were 'early doors' customers, service was very prompt, our server was polite, knowledgeable and seemed to be enjoying her job.
The food was ordered and served very quickly, our server continued to be polite and seemed genuinely interested in our dining experience... Which I can honestly say was really good... Tasty food, served within good time at very reasonable price.. I'd recommend it.

Food is amazing! The sweet potato fries are to die for! There has been one occasion where we had to leave because they didn't actually have any of the food we wanted to order which was disappointing and I haven't been back since but I wouldn't completely write the place off. It's a tad expensive but worth it. There is one waiter in particular who was bubbly and very friendly, the rest of the staff weren't as attentive as he was though.

Good food and the student discount is good

Good food, sub-par service most days (although today the waiter was lovely!) The menu is good and the chain is fast in serving, just often inattentive so you have a long wait before drinks arrive. They are a lot more attentive at lunch time.

We have eaten here so many times and never had a bad experience. We always come here on valentines day and for special occasions. The food is incredible. Best Mexican restaurant by far. Friendly service and good range of cocktails. Its quite expensive but worth it!

We user uber eats for our food delivery. Some items were missing, which I understand doesn't have to be necessarily fault of the restaurant. But their attitude towards us was just unacceptable. Very rude. Food which arrived was average, small portions. Unfortunately we won't be coming back.

Went with the wife last night. Decent enough food but had to wait over 40 minutes between starter and main course, then some of it was missing, plus we had to chase up a round of drinks we ordered. Willing to put this down to a one off but next time, I won't be as pleasant

Disgusting churros and rude employees who tried to prove I was wrong. Never got the chance to try their burger as it was never delivered and I paid for it. If you don't wanna gamble, just order from Bar Burrito as these people know how to cook Mexican food and their churros are amazing.

A cozy Mexican place in Nottingham. They have a variety of dishes to choose from. I tried the chicken baja bowl - a baked tortilla bowl with very tasty curried rice, vegetables and grilled chicken in it, must try! I also tried their salted caramel popcorn milkshake. The place is definitely worth a try!

Really like this place personally out of the two Chiquitos in Nottingham I prefer the Chiquitos in Lenton but this place is still really good, love the food and especially love the cocktails although they are quite expensive in my opinion they are worth it!

They definitely need to get new chefs. The food isn't hot when served and it isn't authentic Mexican. No restaurant works without a good chef. The ambience is good and cozy. The food needs to be looked into as well as the menu. I don't think the staff look like they believe in the food quality themselves. It would help if they focussed on the quality.

I went here on a Saturday lunchtime, at a time when i'd been trying to decide where to eat for some time, so I thought 'why not?'.
We were seated promptly, and a drinks order taken. After mulling over the menu, two of us ordered burritos. One beef, one vegetable. When they arrived, I wondered where the rest of it was. The burrito was served in a dish, with nothing else in it. The burrito itself contained a little meat, a little rice, a little refried beans...and drizzled on top was some tomato sauce and some sour cream. Now, i'm used to ordering a dish like this, and having the burrito come with rice, beans, and maybe salad on the side. This 'all in one' effort was a poor substitute. To pay around £10 for this one item of food represented very poor value indeed.
The very small complimentary dish of tortilla chips presented to us while awaiting our main courses did not make up for this. We left after eating, feeling ripped off, disappointed and still slightly hungry. Trust me folks, if you fancy Mexican / Latin style food, give this place a miss and head straight for a branch of Las Iguanas if there is one in town. I never thought i'd say that, as I never deemed Iguanas to be the cheapest of places, but in my opinion you do get what you pay for, unlike Chiquito.
I have just been on the Chiquito website and noted that they do a lunch menu which looks like it offers better value...however, this is not available at the weekend. Perhaps that explains why we were one of only 3 tables of people in the whole place, on a day that thousands of hungry people are in town looking for somewhere to eat. If anyone from Chiquito reads this, please tell your leaders to see common sense; you'll gain a hell of a lot more custom if you extend your lunch menu to weekends, and if you also show a bit more generosity by giving a dollop of rice and beans as a side with most main dishes.
The only positive thing about the visit was the service, which was prompt and friendly...unfortunately it doesn't really matter how quickly and pleasantly a bad meal is served to you.

Not really keen on this restaurant, location is good close to Theatre Royal and Concert Hall, handy for Tram and bus routes and high enough away from traffic noise. Convenient for Cineworld. However ambiance is strange and seems noisy, possibly aiming for younger more boozy clientelle than me as a middle aged nearly tee-total customer. Food OK with reasonable menu selection, and pricing as you would expect for city centre location.
