Best street food place in Nottingham, West side 🖖🏻 perfectly cooked and packaged. Crispy here means actually crispy and well seasoned. Highly suggested BAO buns (any really), crispy chilli beef, chicken egg fried rice, Chao fries.

Went to Chao Chao a few weeks ago and were pleasantly surprised. We first visited in the early days after they opened, they were still finding their feet I believe because things have improved massively since then. The interior is gorgeous now, the service has always been friendly but the atmosphere is much more inviting (now) if you wish to eat in. Plus the food was fresh and packed with flavour. Definitely give them a try if you haven't been yet. ** Update - I have had many delicious meals from Chao Chao since they opened but our last visit was disappointing. They apparently changed their Donburi bowls and not for the better. I usually get the teriyaki bowl which always came with nicely coated and slightly crispy chicken bites, however the last one I got from their new recipe was barely coated in sauce and limp (steamed) chicken. So disappointing as their original dish was perfect. Why did you guys change it???!!! (See picture for what our last Donburi chicken looked like)....

I just ordered a take away from Chao Chao and WOW. Simply delicious. Jam packed with flavour. A real taste sensation! I want more!

This place is clean, fresh and by far not your typical takeaway. They produce some amazing curries (my favourite is the Thai Green Curry that you can have with any protein!) as well as some delicious fried squid and bao buns! So much to offer and I would eat here everyday if I could (the student discout is super helpful!).

By far the best takeaway in WB. Food always delicious and hot. The menu changes keep things interesting, but please, please bring your green veg box back! I love having a few veggies on the side. 🥗

Beautiful food, lovely staff. My phone was playing up when I submitted payment so wasn't sure my order had gone through, then I got an email telling me the order was received but not paid. I rang them and I could either sort over the phone or Pay on collection. It wasn't a problem for them. I paid on collection, contactless. Food was presented nicely and it tasted amazing. Thank you! They list out all the gluten free options too which is imperative for me. Thank you again. Highly recommended!!!!

Really good food. Dealt with our shellfish allergy very professionally. Even said that they were purchasing a different fryer to make catering for allergy customers easier. Food wasn’t greasy and the chicken was quality chicken. All the family were happy and the rice tasted amazing. Best take out we have had. Well done 👍🏻

We ordered on Friday and the food was very tasty and fresh. They adapted an order perfectly for our child. Staff were friendly, food was quick. Only downside was the belly pork bao was mostly fat, very little meat.

Lovely food. You can taste the freshness. No horrible aftertaste like some of these places. Love their house sauce that you get with the spring rolls. Would thoroughly recommend. Great that the food is in recyclable boxes rather than the normal plastic cartons, makes it all a better experience.
