I have been visiting The Ferry Boat Inn for over a year now. It is one of my regular stops when I'm traveling around the UK. The pub is situated on the banks of the River Trent giving great views of the surrounding countryside, passing narrow boats 🛶 and wildlife 🐦
The pub has outdoor seating at the front and rear enabeling you to take advantage of the picturesque surroundings. The interior is cosy and welcoming like a traditional English pub.
The staff are exceptional on every visit. Warm and curtious. The food is good, well priced and served promptly. On the odd occasion something has gone wrong they were apologetic and rectified it without hesitation. I believe without the current staff .. Courtney, Tom, Francis etc.. the pub would loose its warm, friendly edge it has over other pubs in the area.
It's a great pub, in a wonderful location with exceptional staff. I bet they smile upon seeing you! 👀
I'll will keep coming back.. if only for the great cider selection Courtney sources!

5th July we have been to the Ferry Boat Inn and a had a lovely meal. Excellent value with nice food. It has a large car park. Very large eating area. Staff is very pleasant and helpful. Service was quick. The location is absolutely beautiful next to the Trent.
The three of us had a dessert off of the children's menu, and it was really good and an ample portion.
Rocked up on our Nottingham to Solihull, via Grand Union, canal walk in Jan 2024. Marked food one star, but just to get your attention! Forgive me! We didn't eat. Only had a pint. Lovely place. Great location.
Loved it, went as a party of 21, everyone happy. Kids loved the indoor play area.
Food was overall fine; the whitebait starter was good although the main was lacking. The serving size was great for the pork belly but where the quantity shone, the quality suffered. Cooked well overall but the flavours just weren't there, just tasted like salt. The dijon sauce, of which there wasn't much, honesty tasted like nothing and added very little to the dish besides some moisture. Our waitress was nice and service was quick, its also a nice venue with a decent atmosphere that is dog friendly which is nice to see. Overall I'd recommend this place but I wouldn't recommend the pork belly.

We’re regulars here and all I can say is wow…. I don’t have the vocabulary to explain how lovely an experience we always have at the ferry boat. Today we came in with the family and although I could tell the pub was very busy, the staff still have the time to help in every way. My full English was great and my mum had a Sunday dinner and said the beef was delicious. Thank you to the team we will see you next week.
I went to celebrate my birthday last Sunday at this pub, and it's always wonderful to be there! The food is great, the staff are super helpful, and the children's area is great! Thank's again for the welcome! My next parties will definitely be there! Thank's! 🥰
A good selection of food and great value for money. Kids enjoyed the indoor soft play. Beautiful setting by the river. Perfect motorhome stopover.
Came for a drink and a bite to eat while in the area. Lovely pub nice food and very friendly staff. Nice to meet courtney very friendly and nothing was to much. Lovely experience

Smashing little pub right on the waters edge. Cosy and comfy inside and all ages inside. Staff are lovely and really helpful. Food is average hungry horse stuff which means you know what you're getting but we go back for the staff and location
I book a table of 35 people for today (4/02/24)to celebrate my niece 8 birthday. It was are first time visiting the pub, what can I said 😱 fantastic location, the team was super friendly, fantastic food and the manager (sorry I don’t catch your name) I want to said thank you to you and your team for all your attention.

Nice family pub. Great indoor play area for kids. Great views of the river trent.
I have been here several times over the years. It has a good play area, both indoors, and outdoors for children. Ferry Boat has good service; the food comes out quickly, and the staff are lovely. There is also an amazing walk by the river located close by as well!
