I met a couple of friends here and I must admit I haven't been for years.
As it was lunchtime it wasn't too busy. It's a great idea to give your car registration as you walk in to secure a parking space. The beefburger and chips were delicious and a soft drink was included in the price. Very good value. The staff were extremely friendly which makes the experience so much better.
I will certainly return.
Good sized pub with plenty of car parking and reasonable food.
Beware you need to register your car for free on the machine at the bar to avoid penalty parking charges.
Took a group for lunch today, good choice on deal menu, the food looked good and tasted great, everyone left empty plates

I love coming here as there is such a variety on the menu, along with such a great price making it a lovely affordable trip out. The staff are always extremely kind and professional. 5* again!
I was there for a post family funeral. Good beers (try the Doom Bar) food was good too.
Make sure you log your car reg on the bar tablets though. The car park is covered by Euro Parks, they will serve you a ticket if you don’t register your car..
Popped in for a bite to eat with my partner, ordered 2 chuck wagon steaks had to send one back to be cooked a little longer but nothing was to much trouble for the staff even got a full replacement, genuinly one of the nicest meals I've had here in a long time. Will definitely be back as the new sizzling skillet meals looked amazing not only on the menu but also the ones going out to other customers
Absolutely unbelievable value. I purchased a fish chips and peas for me and my wife... for £11! And the fish was as big as my plate, it's a beautiful little pub with lovely staff and environment, great parking facilities, can sit outside on a nice day as well. One of the best pubs in Nottingham, everyone I know who's been there absolutely loves it 👍😊
We ate from the two meals for £11 and I've got to say it was great value for the money. Gammon was really good but my fish and chips not quite to my taste (but that could be me, we're all different). The service was very pleasant from the staff. The pub really could do with a revamp and some money spent, but I do appreciate that in these difficult financial times, simply keeping open is the priority.
