Went in twice yesterday, service was lovely. Went in the afternoon with a couple of family members for a couple of drinks. Then went back after Disney On Ice to meet up with my best friend for a catch up & could not have got a nicer place for us to catch up

Always have an amazing time when come here, Shelley and Gavin are amazing hosts and so welcoming. A proper ice hockey and sports pub. Will be sad to see this place go.

Loved it. Does have the old Conservative club feel.... or Labour. Which ever floats the boat. But, staff were polite, happy to serve, and had good hospitality values!

Great old school proper pub that caters for all age groups. Very welcoming staff. Just a shame is being closed at the beginning of November to make room for yet more student accommodation. End of yet another place full of great memories.

Owner was so kind. She went above and beyond. Upkeep with such a big property must dip into the overhead especially as it's considered city centre. Nice to have vegan options. Go if you can, garden is terraced with lots of seats and nice people.

Nice pub located next to Nottingham Arena. Good selection of branded drinks including a couple of real ales. Visit while you can, as the pub is under threat of closure due to local development.

Really good down to earth establishment. We went when it was quiet at 5pm. We ordered Chilli con carni with chips and fish and chips. The food came quickly. Generous portions and reasonably priced. Staff welcoming but not over the top. Toilets clean. We came back about 10pm. Very busy but still good service. Well worth a visit.

Went in here before we went next door to see James Blunt ..... my partner nipped in to ask if he could leave my wheelchair just inside somewhere if i walked in (I'm able to walk a short walk on the arm of someone) anyway the bar staff came out & produced a ramp!! So we went in & got a drink & had a look at the food menu & ordered some food. It was very reasonable & tasty!! & the landlady played James Blunt songs for me too!! All in all a very enjoyable afternoon & fabulous staff!!

Pub doesn't look much from the outside but is very nice indoors. Air conditioned in the summer, serves a range of drinks. Has a pool table and darts board. The beer garden is nice and is rarely packed, but could do with polishing up a little bit. All in all, a bit of a hidden gem in Nottingham.

A very lively pub most likely to be full of hockey fans when the matches are on but they serve good food and the drinks are reasonably priced for a city centre pub .It's right next to the ice arena so it's great for a drink or to before a concert and blue badge holders can park outside (although I'm not sure if there are time / day restrictions) .
