Ate here for the first time on a Saturday afternoon & it was a lovely experience. The dining hall is big, open & spacious with high ceilings & big doors that open to an outside seating area which is great on a sunny day like when we went. The menu is fantastic as is the food, drinks menu also excell
We called in here for the toilet, then decided to get something to eat, it was beautiful inside, my friend went to the toilet and I was seated by a most polite waiter, who brought the menus, and a bottle of ice cold water from the fridge, which was very welcome, I looked at the menu and saw A'la Car
Was a walk-in with a friend who had heard good things about the food. Unfortunately, we were told they were fully booked so we sat with a drink. About 5-10 minutes later the gentleman who had served the drinks had gone out his way to ask the chef if they could fit 2 more people in! We enjoyed a br
Had a lovely Sunday roast here - the food itself was excellent and good quality. We will definitely return and I would recommend to anyone looking to book somewhere for a great Sunday roast. The service was also excellent and the restaurant area is decorated nicely with a good ambience.
My friends had a wedding here and we were blown away with not only the food but the lovely friendly but professional service. The place was perfect for a wedding and the staff dealt with us all so well! The poor weather wasn’t an issue as we managed to move inside when the downpour came and felt co
Lovely place. Tasteful decor. Didn't eat there this time around but did enquire about gluten-free options which we have been advised they have many. Had an ale or two. Relaxing atmosphere with a warm ambiance.
Great food, great service. Would 100% recommend for any occasion.
Invited for dinner with a family relation & the food was excellent and service was good. Dog friendly as well. I had one of their special pies , Leak potato & cheese. Delicious
A Sunday lunch for 5 adults and 3 kids for a birthday. It was lovely food and good thoughtful service! We will definitely come back!!
First class Sunday lunch in pleasant surroundings. The pub is immaculate and there's plenty of parking. Highly recommend.
1st time dining at the Griffin and I am impressed. The decor, clientele and food is excellent, as well as the service. My only suggestion, is the service for aperitifs could of been a little quicker. All of our table of five enjoyed it and will be returning very soon.
Such a lovely pub in a fantastic setting. The beer garden is gorgeous. If you’re looking for a place to simply relax with a drink, it’s perfect. I had the afternoon tea and it was lovely. Staff can’t do enough for you. Thanks Dan.
I booked a corporate work meal for 20 people at The Griffin, this was all completed through an intial conversation and emails. This was done with ease, creating a bespoke menu for the evening which I could share for pre-orders. The evening went well including great service and overall management of
Had a lovely Sunday roast here. Tasty food and good sized portions. They have a lovely courtyard too if you wanted to eat Al fresco. Would definitely recommend
Popped in for a drink and food in the beer garden while on a bike ride but they had stopped taking orders for dinner by that time. Beautiful place and will definitely go back. Someone else's food came out while we were there and it looked amazing!
Came here in a group of 5 for Sunday lunch. Very stylish, comfortable decor and great service! Everyone was very attentive! The food was amazing and will definitely come back again. Any criticism would be dessert portions were so big none of us could finish it. Take that as you please but we hate wa
We had our wedding a couple of days ago here. Wonderful venue, superb and friendly staff. The management was so helpful organising the whole event, just made everything very smooth and easy. The food was way beyond our expectations, everyone had a fantastic time and we were well looked after. I want
Had a lovely meal to celebrate our 30th anniversary and share our celebration with a close friends birthday. Nothing was to much trouble for the staff, made to feel very welcome, a very covid safe environment. Lovely bottle of champagne and great food. Thanks to the chef and all the excellent staff.
We visited one Sunday before Christmas and enjoyed the best Sunday lunch we’ve ever had out. The food was amazing! The staff and service were great - really friendly, attentive and nothing was too much trouble. The restaurant itself is really lovely - nicely spaced out with lots of light. Good music
