Plenty to do but it's not really a castle in the true sense. It was a castle and there are remnants of it and the building that is now there was a stately home I think. The ticket you purchase gives you access to the grounds for a year and we visited over two days. I would recommend you do the Robin
This is a great experience overall, particularly for kids. There are many interactive displays, with the archery and quarter staff being very popular. Lots of interesting historical stories presented in very engaging ways (the noose display is bold). The outdoor play area is really well done and if
So much to do! Cafe, museum, art, history, and children's craft activities. Plus a wonderful outdoor park. Plus a single day's admission costs the same as an annual pass, 12ยฃ and children are free.
Firstly, I recommend visiting the Castle, Secondly, dine in the oldest pub that has survived since the Middle Ages, Thirdly, visit the Deer Park ๐Ÿž, in which the deer ๐ŸฆŒ graze completely freely, without any pens, Fourthly, visit the building of the Museum of Natural History Fifthly, take a walk around
Wow! What a great place to bring the kids to play when you're in the city centreโ€”you pay for entry once and it's good for unlimited visits the rest of the year. Yes, you read that right! Well worth itโ€”lots of interactive games and learning opportunities for all ages, a wonderful play area, gorgeous
Definitely worth a visit! The ticket is valid for a year! Gardens pretty with fantastic views across the city! A great adventure playground for the children and Robin Hood experience is perfect for younger visitors. The main castle is interesting with art and history galleries, and a super cafe wit
We bought the tickets online, so there is no need to wait in the queue for a long time. Is 10 minutes walking from the train station, and along the way, you can see Robin Hood statue. The views, the place.. just in love ๐Ÿ˜ You can learn many things, and for kids they are so many things and activitie
Came today on the heritage day ยฃ1.First time I've been since the renovation's and it's fab. A lot of mixed reviews online but can honestly say it's well worth the visit. Lot's for the kids to do took us 3 hours just to get round it all. Will definitely be back again!
Great place, we took my mum in law out for her birthday, and it was a lovely and interesting visit. ยฃ12 per adult, and you then have 12 months free admission, and because kids go free, we will be able to take our grandchildren as many times as we want, win-win, I say ๐Ÿ˜€. The art galleries and other d
Very good place to visit for at least half a day. There is a play ground and some video games for kid, museum for grown ups, and a killer view from up there (especially on a sunny day).
Very nice visit here on bank holiday. Very modern castle due to restoration. Some parts were really nice whilst some were bit empty. However really good visit and nice experience. Everything is kept neat and tidy.
Recently renovated, the castle is almost in the city centre with lovely views of the surrounding area. A nice playground outside with Robin Hood theme. Also many indoor activities in Robin Hood adventurers entrance. Beautiful artworks as well and nice cafe inside. Would recommend if you are in Notti
Visited the castle today and was quite impressed with the layout of this place and the range of activities offered. restaurant was good for dinner, although a little expensive. The coffee shop was OK for drinks but cake was stale and had to be sent back! Robin Hood experience was great, really enjoy
Great day out for kids and not bad prices for cafe. There is a nice playground for kids and there seems to be something for everyone you also get a yearly ticket for the price of a single entry
I really enjoyed it here today, beautiful view, great little museum, and caves tour. Cafe was over price but tasted good.
Nothing left of the original castle but the later building houses a very good museum on 4 floors. However it might be just me but I found it a bit difficult to find my way around once inside as the stair wells are at various places and it's not obvious how to get to the next floor. Ground are dog
We visited on a weekday so it wasnโ€™t much crowded. Booked tickets in advance therefore could go in quickly. Beautiful castle. You can see the Robin Hood statue nearby the castle.
The castle is absolutely There is so much to do, you could easily spend the whole day here and then even have a bit of time to go into the beautiful city centre to explore more and fully immerse yourselves in all things Robin Hood! We last visited the castle several years ag
