It may be a Just Eat takeaway operating out the back of a Mediterranean themed restaurant. In short it delivers good food. Where else in Nuneaton can you order takeaway Paella ready in one hour?
Recently re-opened as a south Indian restaurant. It is just their initial days. Big room for improvement in terms of the menu. service is fantastic while there would be an extended waiting on orders. Accepts cash Only for dining in. They are associated with delivery platforms that one could choose for home delivery.
Me and my 2 sisters stayed here last night...
What can I say...... Excellent !!!!
The food was lovely, and served very promptly. The entertainment was outstanding . Brilliant atmosphere. Nothing was too much trouble for Mick and his lovely staff. Will definitely be going back.
Stayed here with my sister's. What a fantastic place. Looks tiny from the outside but very large inside with lights, candles etc. Total praise for the service we received "top class" food was really nice. Mick the owner is really friendly and welcoming. Resident singer and the grease tribute act were brilliant.
Rooms are very basic but the great night we had we couldn't complain. We will definatly be coming back again and will be bringing the rest of the family. If you want a great night out then this is the place to go.
OK - it's important to get a few things clear here. We were there for a tribute night, so can't comment on the B&B elements.
Food wise, pretty standard. Probably best described as simple home cooking. For the price you can't argue.
Service, good but nothing special
Interior, a bit tacky.
So why 4 stars? It was great fun. We went when the Robbie Williams act was on, who was brilliant. The setup for a fun night works really well. It doesn't pretend to be glamourois, glitzy or take itself too seriously, which is why, although the I've mentioned some negative points at the start, it really doesn't cause a problem of you know this.
Bar staff are engaging and the owner does seem to have genuine pride.
Above all though, it was great fun, which is what we were there for and it delivered.
Had the best time ever. Basic b & b but everything you need. Great breakfast. The 80s night was amazing highly recommend for a good fun night out. The meal was great well worth the money. Mick was the perfect host nothing to much trouble. Definatly going to go back.
This is a rating for their B&B service. A very cheap nights sleep and you get what you expect from that. The room was a good size and did all the basics well. The restaurant section wasn't open when we went so it was a quiet stay. Breakfast in the morning is a big greasy fry up - very tasty! It is a short simple walk from the town centre.
Amazing tribute acts, especially Mr Rob Lamberti. Great food, and hospitality from Mick and Val and all the staff. B&B is great value for money. Can't recommend it highly enough. Looking forward to going back soon.
It's a great venue for a celebration or works Christmas party as the entertainment is excellent. The food was OK, I had the steak which although was cooked well, the accompaniments were cabbage carrots and boiled potatoes... Regardless of the choice of main!! No options offered, it was obvious that food isn't the primary focus, bums on seats drinking over priced alcohol served by two older ladies who looked like they had worked there 40 years.... That's clearly where they are making their money. I would return for the entertainment and party atmosphere but not the food, or the aging staff... Sorry
🙁
Its friendly, clean & economical. Breakfast is very generous if a little greasy. My single room had en-suite, USB chargers in the plugs, TV, WiFi and kettle. My only criticism is they have live music in the restaurant so sleep is pretty much impossible until the restaurant closes. My advice, bring earplugs. If you enjoy pubs and live music then you are in for a treat.
Will use again.
Mick was the very essence of a caring host, and gave the impression that nothing was too much trouble. I stayed one night, but I was seated in the restaurant and waited on by Mick and other staff members.
It was unfortunate that I happened to be staying on a night when karaoke and a guest singer (Elvis look-alike) were the order of the day, and the music was LOUD! The floor show finished at about 1.30am, so I did get some shut-eye after all quietened down. Next time I'll check the show dates more carefully!
I was promised wifi in the room, but I found the service very flaky and was unable to get my work done. This may have been due to the numbers of guests in the restaurant using the available bandwidth, so it is quite possible that a "normal" night would have beenmore sucessful.
Decor was very 1970s, but this did not put me off, and I would definitely go back next time I am in the area.

On arrival I was greeted by Mick the proprietor and led to our room where the fire alarms points and escape routes were explained. Other amenities such as ironing facilities, wifi password and the designated smoking area were pointed out and we took a look around. The room was spacious with ensuite shower, spotlessly clean and had recent electrical upgrades, loved the usb charging points on the bedside sockets. The shower was very powerful and everything I needed for my stay was to hand and due to the extremely hot weather Mick had thoughtfully supplied cooling fans. The breakfast was simple, freshly prepared and set us up for the day as we had booked in for the Friday live music, meal and tribute show which we were looking forward to.
To call La Tavola Calda a restaurant does it a great disservice, it is far much more. On entering we were led to our table and two things struck us, it was if we were transported to a faraway place of bright vibrant colours, interesting memorabilia and ice-cold air conditioning to offset the 35 degree heat outside.
After 10 minutes our pre-ordered starter was delivered to our table shortly followed by our steak dinner which was the best sirloin I can remember eating with the buttery silkiness and texture of fillet and stronger taste of the sirloin.
When the meal was finished and all cleared away the entertainment started and soon the venue was filled with laughter and music with Meatloaf to finish. A great night was had by us both
I would like to pass my complements to the chef and also to Mick the proprietor and all the girls for the best service, breakfast, courtesy and sheer good value for money I experienced on my stay.
As I mentioned before to call La Tavola Carta only a restaurant is a shame, it’s really a national treasure.
Its been a while since I've been there. But Mick, his family and his staff are super. Excellent night out at great prices. The food is good too.
Just watched 4 in a bed. I so wanna stay here with hubby. Depending which tribute act is on. Mick and Chris seem like friendly good hosts.
Brilliant night food good very and helpful staff would recommend people to go since new owners took over. Ladies night can certainly recommend Sandra Holt and ten guests
