Booked evening meal and was keen to check out their own beers. We were blown away by the choice of beers, quality of food, great atmosphere, friendliness of locals. What a star place. Want to move to Oakham! Only disappointment was I was not able to buy any beer in boxes as they were too busy to get them prepared and we had to leave early next day. Would have loved to take 2 or 3 brews back for my Easter bash at home. Hope we get chance to go back again.

Excellent place to visit. Right next to Oakham Railway Station in an old Goods Shed. Has a range of Cask Grainstore Beers on in excellent Condition. Also does good food at lunchtimes. Highly recommend.

Food is lovely home cooked food. We got 2 for 1 which was brilliant steak and gammon for price of one meal....staff always polite and helpful nothing is too much trouble and they make you feel very comfortable. We love it here whether it is to have breakfast at weekend or a nice relaxing meal.

Went here with friends yesterday morning (Sunday 18th February) for a drink before catching a train home from Grantham. A good selection of their own real ales & ciders. We didn't have anything to eat but the breakfasts being served look great and a scan of the menu on the table looked extensive.

My husband fell in love with the Grainstore Cider when we were visiting Oakham over Christmas. So much so that we decided to serve it at our wedding. We just wanted to say a massive thank you to Wayne, Ben, and the guys for helping us organize delivery for our special day. Our guests from the UK and US all enjoyed the Cider. Thanks again! Cheers, Steph and Tris

Great beer, many beers are only brewed in batches so available for short time only. . Good food. Some of it sourced locally from Hambleton bakery and deli. Very busy vibrant atmosphere. Dogs welcome. Chatty customer's and helpful staff. We feel this is our local from now on. Well worth the taxi fare home!

We had an excellent meal here yesterday. A few of us had been before for drinks and a roast which is always amazing. The food was great and the service was amazing. There were 16 of us, so the chef and staff did so well to get everything sorted for us so efficiently. Thanks for making my 40th birthday meal with my family so memorable. We will all be back! 😀

Excellent, characterful beers brewed right here on the premises. Walked in at midday to find them loading the sacks of hops (?) on to a hoist and winching them up through a trap door in the ceiling. Sort of beery dumb waiter. Now where else would you find these shenanigans going on? Worth a full 5*s for this class act alone!!

I only visited to kill time whilst waiting for a train, I'm so glad that I did, I never drink alcohol during the day but so glad I did, I've got to say it was the best beer that I've ever had. The ambience in the pub was great full of joviality.

First of all, Grainstore offers a nice selection of real ales. We went for the tour, which is one of the best we've ever been on. Grainstore is a small and almost entirely manually run shop. We've never seen a brewery quite like this. After the tour we had a fantastic lunch and got to chat with the owner who was also our tour guide. Beer was great, food was great, service was great, and the tour was great. Well worth checking out before they move into larger and probably more automated quarters.

Had a fab experience at Grain Store. Firstly, beer is great. Secondly, dog friendly and thirdly, it's vegan friendly/allergen aware. I booked in advance and we were offered THREE different vegan / dairy free options on arrival, despite only one vegan option being listed on the menu. We did book two weeks in advance, but I dont think that made too much difference, if at all. Staff really friendly, lovely atmosphere and fab food / drink.

We had a lovely family meal here, the food was fantastic very hearty and more than we could consume, the roast dinner was delicious the bar staff are very welcoming and attentive, Courtney went above and beyond with my granddaughter to ensure she was happy, overall a fantastic experience! We will definitely be back, great value for money and my son in law really enjoyed your house lager. Five stars.

Came here for BH Monday, 2 ladies working the bar, food service and clearing.. working their socks off. Still very good service, understandably slow due to them being so busy. Still service was professional, with a smile, answered all questions about food and ales.. We had 2 ploughman's. Very lovely, photo doesn't do it justice.. loads there and we were both full. Only suggestion is to not use the boards as we both found them too small and makes it awkward to eat without leaving the table covered in crumbs. Ales were delicious as always and toilets very clean. Well come back again when we're next out this way. Thank you to both ladies serving.

Absolutely fantastic Burns Night supper at the Grainstore Brewery. Piper, poem and brilliant haggis, neeps and tatties with a wee dram. Unbeatable value, couldn’t fault it. I’ll be back.
