I ate there tonight I thought all the food was good, my friends all agreed. Ignore the review from the person who would rather eat at Iceland it almost put us off, but we're glad we decided to try for ourselves.
Also very dog friendly.
Had a Sunday roast here after a walk, staff were so lovely and welcoming and the food was great and such good value for money!
I love this restaurant, I wish I lived closer!
The staff are charming and the Sunday roast is honestly, one of the best I have tasted. The portions sizes are very generous, the belly of pork was cooked to perfection and the roast potatoes were as good as my Mother used to cook and that, is a big com
First night open with new owners, the pub looks fantastic and has a lovely country feel. The staff are welcoming, the food was delicious and well presented. Will be going back very soon to try more!
Lovely food at the wheatsheaf, in a nice atmosphere. The tostada was particularly nice and a bit different for a village pub. They also did a beef chili and vegetarian tostadas.
Absolutely lovely little pub, dog friendly, amazing staff and food.
Our first time in this part of the UK and we received such a warm welcome from everybody here.

We visited at lunchtime during half term to grab a sandwich. Fantastic pub & great atmosphere, we decided to book for dinner the same evening & we certainly weren’t disappointed. The best roast dinner I can remember having in a long time. Great service, they were happy to hold our table even though we were late. To top it off the pint of Timothy Taylor's Landlord was a worthy accompaniment to the meal. We'll definitely will be back.
What a little gem. Lovely friendly pub. The food was excellent! Highly recommend
This was our first visit the The Wheatsheaf, we both had a really wonderful meal, I had belly pork which was so tender and full of flavour. My husband had the plaice which was very tasty. The staff were all lovely and attentive we will definitely be making this our local.
Could have more vegetarian options on the menu. Nice place and friendly staff.
Ate here for the first time at the weekend and was very glad I did. We were very surprised at how quiet it was on a Saturday evening. Although, the menu is small and there were only a couple of vegetarian options, I am basically a carnivore so there was more than sufficient choice for me.
The beef w
Visited for early dinner. Between us we had the sirloin steak, pork belly and haddock and chips. All of the meals were fantastic. The steak was the best that I've had for years!
