George Street Fish Restaurant & Chip Shop - Oban - Photo album

Had a sit in meal consisting of cod and chips. Fish was perfectly cooked and tasted lovely, chips were light and fluffy. Washed down with a glass of wine, perfect! Only chippy been to that has a cocktail menu 😃. Scored slightly down on atmosphere as the music was terrible 😆
OMG - this Fish&Chip shop is amazing! I ordered battered Haggis and Chips boy was it good!
Stopped in their take-away portion and I love that they offer that. Prices are higher to sit down in the restaurant. Fish was amazing and fresh. Some of the best fish and chips I've had. The chips were really nice too. Some other reviews say portions are small and that is shocking to me. Portions a
We sat and ate in the restaurant. Paul was our friendly waiter and he provided a lovely service. The food was delicious and we thoroughly enjoyed every morsel.
Best fish we have had all week on touring holiday. My haddock was great, batter light, chip excellent! My wife had mixed grilled fish .. Very good, although bones in the salmon would not work for me! Very nice young man from Edinburgh served us, and made me feel at home!! And Fyne beer was delish!!
Really excellent fish and chips. Not cheap, but hey - good things cost money, right? The real treat was the house made tartare sauce. Only £1, and it was the best I’ve had in a long time. Most commercial tartare sauce is too sweet, and really not much more than mayo with a few chopped gherkins. Who
Just had the best spicy fish soup in my life. Recommendation of Sine, thank you so much! Go there, try it, be stunned!
Good fish and chips and some of the other dishes excellent (langoustines, scallops and chorizo). What slightly let this down was the very slow service. The waiting staff were great but it felt they were somewhat frustrated - it seems the busy kitchen was prioritising take away orders over sit down
Extremely good!! You can take everything from the menu and you won’t be disappointed!
Moist flaky white fish. Scampies were good too. Take away as the restaurant was full. But good food none the less
Fabulous quality traditional fish & chips, the reviews were right! Not cheap, but you get what you pay for. Location right next to the front bang on too.
Ate here twice in six days and it was absolutely superb on both occasions. The starter of langoustine salad was quite unbelievable for just £7.95 and the lemon sole and chips was to die for. Excellent quality and value.
I sat in to eat. Excellent fish supper ("from next door") followed by a remarkable creme brulee which was more mousse than custard but delicious. Nice beer and friendly efficient service.
Great service, food was also amazing
Just had fish and chips , bread pudding and coffee. As good as it gets . Staff treat older folks brilliantly
Excellent restaurant. Menu choice is good. I had a lovely haddock in a batter which was crisp and delicious desserts are home made, my crème brŭlée was perfect. A nice quiet intimate setting.
