Lovely Sunday lunch. Food great, service excellent, fair prices. Extra Yorkshire puddings and gravy are a great idea!

Dropped in for food . Used mypub app to order. I'm not good on using apps but did it easy. Food arrived quicker than it took me to load and fathom the app. Faultless food and service. Lovely staff..

A pleasant meal, My guest was very pleased with the meal and service, they were attentive even though they were busy The meals were nicely presented and well cooked. When we visited there was live music outside which was very popular. A good place to take friends and family.

Been here today for the tenth time and I will be coming again. The food is de-lish-us and I had a three course meal, each course being as good as the next. Staff where extremely nice and couldn't help you enough. The price of food is a little expensive but the quality makes up for it. There is a varied selection of foods and drinks which cater for all. The place inside is clean, cosy and warm and outside there is a large carpark at the rear and an area to eat and drink in the summer. One downside, the lighting outside on a dark night is not very good

Veggie Sunday lunch was excellent, piping hot and the mushroom wellington very tasty. Friendly staff, good atmosphere and excellent choice of real ales. I am sure that we will be back.

We only discovered this pub on our doorstep 2 days ago but we are back for food again. As a chef I can highly recommend the great quality dining and atmosphere. The service is so welcoming and on point. This will be our new local.

I recently visited The Queens Head in Ockbrook and it was a fantastic experience. The pub has a classic and traditional feel with a cozy and welcoming atmosphere that made me feel right at home. The menu at The Queens Head had a great selection of classic pub food with a modern twist. I ordered the beef burger and it was one of the best burgers I have ever tasted. The beef patty was juicy and cooked to perfection, and the toppings were fresh and flavorful. The portion size was generous and the pricing was reasonable for the quality of the food. The staff at The Queens Head were friendly and attentive throughout my visit, and the service was excellent. The pub also had a good selection of beers and spirits, and the atmosphere was lively and inviting. The decor of the pub was also lovely, with a mix of modern and rustic elements that created a charming and comfortable space. It's a great spot to relax and catch up with friends or enjoy a meal with family. Overall, I would highly recommend The Queens Head in Ockbrook to anyone looking for a delicious meal in a classic and welcoming pub setting. The food, service, and atmosphere were all excellent, making it a must-visit destination.

Enjoyed a well cooked Ribeye with a very peppery peppercorn sauce. My partner enjoyed a buttermilk veggie burger. We were served by Dale and Sammy T, both well presented and friendly.

We went for breakfast and were not dissapointed. Large garden area although we stayed inside to enjoy our food. Breakfast was enjoyed by all four of us, the coffee too was good. Full English, was quite full after. Would recommended to anyone looking for a quality breakfast. Would go again.

Lovely atmosphere, nice setting and welcoming staff. Interesting menu and food tasted delicious BUT such a shame that our 3 fish pies were only lukewarm ...a little concerning for a reheated seafood dish. They took them back and microwaved them warmer but still not piping hot. Would've been 5 stars had the food been reheated to optimum temperature.

We visited during the soul Sunday, and although very busy, we enjoyed our visit. Decent inside and a large garden, fantastic if the weather us good.

Great cosy pub with a recently improved beer garden. There is a great selection of drinks to choose from and the food is really nice.

After a stressful few days decided to have a break from cooking and visit queens head after the refurb . First impression is they have done a fantastic job doing it up it looks lovely and welcoming . Staff were extremely friendly and polite which was lovely but that was as good as it gets the food was very disappointing and poor for the amount it cost not value for money at all . Also very over cooked and that was just the mains the deserts were just as bad . Great place to go for a drink but very let down by the food .

Think we went at a bad time. Been a fire in the kitchen night before so not the full menu on offer. Staff very flustered and stressed as lots of people complaining. The food we had was lovely. We will go again and give it another try .

Pub quite nice But disappointed with the meal payed £14 each for the Beef on the Bone Rib but it was all fat & no meat plus very small amount of chips so came away feeling ripped off & very hungry.

I had a lovely lunch and meeting there today - Wagyu beef burger is always top class and great ale selection.

Popped in for Sunday lunch on the spur of the moment and was delighted to find a nut roast vegetarian option on the menu. The meal wasn't massive but was actually more than adequate and very nice. Came with large Yorkshire pud and husband said the beef was great too. The only fly in the ointment was the group of rowdy parents and children that continually went in and out of the door next to table 20 leaving us cold from the draught but can't blame the pub for other people's inconsiderate behaviour and poor parenting skills. Fantastic that we finally have somewhere local to get a decent Sunday roast served all day.

Visited the Queens Head tonight for a meal to celebrate my birthday with my husband and 6 year old daughter. We haven't been in since the refurb and have to say we were very impressed. Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff and lovely food. It brought back memories of when I used to work there 20 odd years ago! We will definately be back

I would say zero if I could! At first the meal (mixed grill) came out with raw mushrooms and a piece of steak no bigger than my thumb after I spoke to the waitress about this the chef/cook/god knows what came out and offered to make me a different steak and cooked mushrooms, I was happy about that then I looked down and noticed my egg was medium rare and would of made someone really ill!!! This was the final straw! I cannot believe someone is serving food here that can't cook an egg. Got money back and went home hungry will NEVER be returning

Can't comment on the food and drink because they cancelled a booked table, for a birthday meal, for 17 people for 12pm with an hours notice on Sunday 27/11! Thanks for that. Disappointment by all.

Fucking dreadful, if you do one thing in life after reading this, take heed and go somewhere else.

Went in today for early evening dinner. We ordered two steaks. Steaks were cooked to our liking but the rest was awful French fries ? I ordered chips ! Big difference !!! Microwaved mushrooms !!! How many times had they been microwaved ??? They were so tough ! Can't people cook mushrooms ??! It's not hard ! They went back but the portion that came out again were exactly the same but warmer !!!! Awful !!! Peppercorn sauce was cold so that went back to be microwaved again !!! We were sitting near to the kitchens so I could hear the microwave "pinging" !!! The worst meal I've had there! We will think twice about going there again. New chef needed I'm sorry to say what a waste of money !
