I just had a fantastic curry from here. They delivered in a good time within an hour of me placing the order. The delivery driver was friendly and polite and the food was amazing. I ordered Prawn Dansak and Lamb Madras. Both dishes were excellent and up there with the best I have ever had. I thoroughly recommend this place. I was staying at Whiddon Down Travelodge and they delivered.

Just ordered our first takeaway from Maida. It’s amazing. Delivery service was amazing arrived on time. Will definitely be ordering from them again. Forgot to take photos as it looked and tasted too good.

We were in Okehampton and found Al Maida restaurant. Good food as we ordered quite a few dishes including Lamb biryani- single serving Chicken Biryani Himaliyan chicken Bhuna chicken 4 adults n 2 kids and we paid 80+£ Good taste

Just moved to Okehampton and we had 2 weeks without an oven, so decided to get a takeaway. I was so glad we did! When we got back I initially thought they'd forgotten the ‘sag’ part of our sag aloo, but it turned out to be spread across 2 tubs! The naan was properly covered in chilli and garlic and very soft, but not doughy, the chapati was one of the best I’ve had too. The aubergine we had was also chargrilled as it should be and really deliciously smoky and rich in flavour. Probably the stand out though was the chicken shatkora, with the slightly sour citrus fruit in - it was really gorgeous, complex and the chicken was tender. Unfortunately I have a condition which doesn’t mix well with Indian food (no chickpeas/gram flour or any legumes in quantity due to G6PD deficiency) so I can't have it very often, but this was better than any of the Exeter restaurants we're tried and will definitely be back again to try some of the other chefs specials at some point. :)

Took my partner here and not into Indian food myself however they have changed my opinion now. They advised me what food would be good with some things I don’t eat and gave me a great recommendation. Had 3 gents looking after us and where all fantastic.

This is a really good Indian curry resaurant and take away. Excellent starter onion bargie and lamb samosa. The main we had was a chicken tikka masala, Chana chicken, special fried rice and a nann all fabulous. Staff are very friendly and helpful. This is the best curry house we have found out side of London. Perfect

Went to this place yesterday and food was good. If you are looking for a Halal option this can be the place in OKehampton as confirmed by the owner that they sourced meat from halal supplier. Portion size were small but good enough for 4 of us. Daal and garlic rice were tasty. Nice place to have a family meal after a long day out.

Very nice staff, always come an sak if you need anythink else, food waz lovely, I don't live in okehampton, I.m from Birmingham but when I.m down again I will definitely be going in for a meal again.

Good food and nice atmosphere. Chicken tikka masala recommended. Only criticism would be the paneer on side dish was a bit rubbery.

Lovely staff, great food. The portions were perfect sizes for us. And even after a one hour drive the food was hot. And it’s even halal. 10/10

Only been once and the food was great as well as the staff, it did lack atmosphere and they don't serve alcohol.

London to Barlekha

Excellent Indian restaurant that does the classics very well and a range of chef’s specials which are superb. Beautiful naans and side dishes. Friendly staff. Would certainly make a regular, if I lived here.

Ate in the restaurant here. Really good food, quality ingredients, the naan bread was a different style than I’ve seen in any other place but really nice, not soggy like some and the keema naan had meat all the way through not just in the middle. Milder on the heat than a lot of places but very full of flavour, if you like your curry really hot however probably ask or order one of the spicier dishes. Service was fast and polite.

Very good quality food and friendly service, the Nepalese lamb shank I had was delicious, rice and nann was a little disappointing but OK.

A firm favourite. Clearly freshly made with fresh ingredients with a touch of flare! Not your typical nuked balti, far from it. Also take in a beer from the pub next door!
