We popped into nothing service station restaurant yesterday and were nicely surprised!
The staff are all super friendly. In fact it feels like one big family!
The food was excellent too!

Good Food, Very nice staff, Fair portions and price. Very quick service. Very clean kitchen and eating area. All cutlery clean. I would go back to eat here again.
Lovely food, friendly staff, Gluten Free options available (that's a Gluten Free roll in the picture) on a good number of meals. I have been eating here for over 20 years and I usually stop here if I am passing. Also stopped in on my way home for lunch and had Cottage Pie and veg (all Gluten Free).
Good breakfast and good service. Very clean restaurant Restaurant is right next to the petrol station. Reasonably priced. but I always like it when you get tea and coffee included in the breakfast price. Regular breakfast was £7.50 in July 22.
Restaurant beside a petrol/service station therefore will attract passers by, like us. The food was fine, baked potato and pie for his nibs. Seemed popular with elderly folk in the day we visited, Sunday, perhaps a place locals come to meet up. It was busy and service was pretty good.
Great stopping place for a quick hot snack and drink. There's a small grassy stretch which is perfect for exercising your dog during long drives. The staff are so lush!

I ve been using the Whitehouse for years and it's good food at a good price. As many places it sometimes has staffing problems these days but by far the best services anywhere.
Independently owned! Stopped on way on holiday for tasty breakfast.
£11 for hearty bkfast £8.50 for English bkfast. Friendly efficient service.
Well located for anyone with dogs or motorhome. Easily overwhelmed by its popularity. Eat in or take out. Always stop when passing

Visited Whitehouse Restaurant on the 11/12/22 on way back home to Cornwall.
No been here for some time. Really impressed with the new updated toilets and restaurant areas.
Much nicer decor and tables in restaurant. Fresh clean and welcoming now.
New menu was good although did notice scampi and all day breakfast was missing now on new menu.
Breakfasts available but until 12.30 I believe.
Friendly staff and pleasant atmosphere.
Food cooked to order arrived hot.
Had the fish and chips and also sausage egg and chips. The Sausages looked great , not the catering type.
The fish was a decent size cooked in batter. Slightly greasy but it did just come straight out of the fryer. But was a "nice" meal rather than delicious one if you know what I mean.
Would still highly recommend if you're travelling down the A30 by Oakhampton.
These family run businesses need to be supported 👍
Roadside restaurants like these are becoming a rare sight nowadays which is a shame.

Food was good and not that expensive. Also there are good portions.
Top of my list for journeys out of county.
Our hotel didn't do breakfast so searched for good breakfast Devon A30 and was glad I did great food, nice place, lovely staff. We went on a quiet morning the staff were lovely about subbing items on breakfast out. Produce they used was great quality, can taste the difference. Can't rate high enough.
Going to be a new favourite stop when I occasionally leave Cornwall.
Had a lovely full English my wife had a panini both really good
