After shutting up my nursery this afternoon felt like treat seen farmer luxtons on my way home they sweeping up was to very nice pl young lady and the butcher as meat was away asked if any fillet chap went out back brought out lovely dark looking bit had to steaks cut looking stunning paid and went home got out bag looked emmm with beef I love tiny bit raw it was like eating butter flavour was amazing cooked like a dream rare thanks for such a lovely taste like beef should

Popped in for a small joint of beef late on Friday. Cooked it long and slow today, and it was probably the tastiest beef I've had in a long time (not easy with a small joint). Definitely won't be the last time I buy meat from here.
Just been and picked up the 1/2 pig ordered last week, Great customer service, and all ready for us, can’t believe how much we got for what we payed, definitely recommended.
The customer service at luxtons farm shop in okehampton is fabulous I went in and said I wanted enough beef steak to feed five pigs he said real pigs or human pigs I said human he took a large whole sirloin out the back and without asking sliced it all up ready for me outstanding saved me alot of time tonight thankyou and the lady that served me lovely it doesn't take much to give good customer service and the quality of everything up there is great too xx

Came to Okehampton for the Bank Holiday weekend and discovered Farmer Luxtons. Although our weekend was packed and busy we didn't have time to call in but when I got home I ordered some bacon,sausages and mince online. I was contacted to let me know when the sausages where being made and to expect delivery on the Wednesday. Today I had the bacon and it was delicious, lovely flavour and thick slices. Looking forward to tasting the rest of the meats. Will defiantly order again.
Amazing produce and more importantly fabulous customer service...very welcoming, nice to walk in to the shop and feel like they actually want you in there rather than being ignored and made to feel like you're an inconvenience!! Thank you....very refreshing :-) highly recommended.

It was our first time at Farmer Luxtons today, prior to our move to Sticklepath in a month or two. Great enthusiasm and fabulous local meats. We just ate a minced lamb kofte and puff pastry roll with some fresh salad. What a great idea and a superb light dinner washed down with a nice glass of red in the caravan. We will be back!

Perfect for a stop on the way to Dartmoor. We went before Ten Tors event so it was busy but staff were super friendly and the service was very quick. Always a delicious breakfast here. Would definitely recommend!

We have been down visiting relatives as we do two or three times a year. I always by at the bakery and have never been disappointed. The staff are always happy, helpful and polite. Nothing is to much trouble which is unique in these times.
We did pop in for lunch and I have to say the food was outstanding; So much so we have booked a table for Sunday Lunch. I would certainly recommend this farm eatery to anyone

We didn't get a chance to stay for food but it all looks delicious, we brought some local honey roast ham to take away. There is a cafe as well as a greengrocer/butcher. All very well presented and clean, would love to come back and try the cooked food with a lovely view of the animals in the field.
The toilets are also kept clean if you need a pitstop.
A milk vending machine is just round the corner too.

A premium butcher selling local grass-fed meat but also a deli and cafe. The meat is excellent, cut and hung properly by friendly staff. You can pop in for a homemade pasty or one of their hot pork roast buns generously stuffed with all the trimming including cracking crackling or sit down to a full English breakfast, proper burger or afternoon tea. Highlights of the shop include the excellent meat, artisan bread, curry sauces, interesting pasta and really lush local vegetables. Proper.
Farmer Luxtons is a high class butchers selling quality meat and farm produce including local Devon beers and wine. Their deli counter sells delicious pies and sausage rolls among other pastries. They serve a takeaway menu including hot pork Baps, bacon rolls and much more. Their restaurant area serves hot food, ploughmans, cream teas, coffee, cakes etc and on Sunday they serve a very good carvery with vegetarian options also available. We visited to try out the carvery today and thoroughly enjoyed it, the meat was very flavoursome, the selection of vegetables was good and they were properly cooked, good sized servings of meat. The staff are all so friendly and helpful, everything is bright and cheerful, lovely atmosphere. Other diners were overheard to say that it was the best carvery they had had. Highly recommended.

Really lovely cafe staff who russelled up a lovely coronation chicken baguette 30mins after they stopped serving food! The farmers shop is also amazing, really good quality produce and a section of frozen goodies like chocolate muffins and croissants you can cook at home. A fab find and much better than the motorway services 1/2 a mile away.
All produce bought at Farmer Luxton's is fantastic, but, worthy of special mention are the 🥧🥧. The chicken pies, packed with chicken breast and topped with puff pastry are our favourites In fact, they were on the menu tonight, served with mash, peas, carrots and beautiful runner beans, and a jug of gravy to bring it all together. If I'm driving by on the A30, I have to make a short detour to stock up. Keep turning out those pies. Totally yummy!!

Great friendly service in there new extended restaurant section, my brunch was fresh and great quality bacon, sausage and eggs as should be at farmers shop!
Topped of by great friendly service, only small issue of being quite slow but I'm sure they'll get more upto speed and we did visit on a Saturday.

Seven for lunch yesterday - aged 2 to 74 - plus young labrador. Staff could not have been more helpful and friendly; food was speedy and DELICIOUS. Thank you. Highly recommended.

Can't really complain - a luxurious farm shop, immaculately clean stocking treats, meat, booze, cheese, vegetables, and other upmarket farmy things. Also a cafe & restaurant, and nice clean loo and car park outside. Great for drive by farm produce required necessities and emergency barbecue meaty grilly things
