Have not visited the Half Penny Farm in many years, it used to be called the One and Two Halves (Fayre & Square - still the same Greene King but a change of plaque on the wall).
Located just off the main road and easily accessible for the M5, there is ample parking - but be sure to validate number
One of the best carvery around we think ! 4 choices of meat 4 different potatoes, lots of veg choice too always nice and warm and the serving staff are super polite too. This has become a firm favourite place to eat.
Lovely pub inside with attentive and patient staff. A sign of a great business is the quality of the staff who were great and patient with a weary traveller, stressed single father with two kids.
There was colouring for the kids which kept them busy and a small play area.

Lovely pub with carvery , plenty of seating inside and booking online is available.
You have to put your car registration into a ipad on wall ( so don't forget ) .
Menu has usual fare for green king pub but bonus is the carvery, which was delicious.

I have to say this is the best most welcoming place I have been in my local area for a long time. The staff are friendly and helpful and very welcoming and it’s just made better by the fact the food is very nice and a prompt service too….

Went for Carvery this time. Carverys can never get Yorkshire pudding right. Always like house bricks. But the rest was nice
The carvery was not as good as we hoped.
The beef was very poor ( gristle).Did tell staff this.
The meat was carved very thin and not a lot.
The veg was okay and gravy was excellent.
The staff were excellent and there was plenty of spaces pub.
Came in for breakfast first thing and all the food was cold. Never had cold food but this was to the point i had to spit it out. Dee is a lovely lady who offered to get us more cooked or a refund, i took the refund as i wasn't being stunk twice, better chef is needed at breakfast
Wonderful experience eating here. How I've missed eating at a carvery living in Spain. The waitresses were so helpful giving us information regarding registering our car for parking. I would highly recommend this place to everyone.
Nice food, good carvery, good service. It tends to be very busy, so I wouldn't recommend turning up, out of the blue, with a large group. There's also an easy to use system for registering your car number plate so you don't get a ticket
Went here today for the first time just so we could be out of the way as someone was viewing our house and I have to say it was truly something else. I had the carvery, never had one so nice and comparing it to the last one I had at another Greene King establishment this one rated 110 out if 100, m
