Fantastic place. Journeys was recommended to me by a friend at work. Really glad I went there now. Me and my partner really enjoyed our food and have already said we will go back on our next night out.

At last across the road from the old Saffron Restaurant, Journeys has opened. Some familiar faces front of house. Menu is simple but excellent. The decor is like sitting in an Indian railway station (I think, so anyway, I've never been to India). Poppadoms are light and crispy and dry, 4 chutneys all very good. Dosa to start, crispy light and fluffy on the inside with great side, then the Garlic Methi Chicken (med-hot) boiled rice and peshwari naan. All excellent. Wholeheartedly recommended. If you liked Saffron, you'll love it here!

This was the best Indian restaurant I've been to in oldbury/Rowley. Deffo going bk next week plus many more visits to be had. Amazing food, amazing staff, exceptional welcome and full Indian feel. 100% recommend

"Great tasting food in an interesting contemporary setting." Service. I visited this restaurant on a Friday evening and it was surprisingly quiet. Nonetheless the service was excellent, with our order taken promptly and food served in good time. Location. There is plenty of parking available, but also within walking distance of the Ramada hotel where I was staying. Food. The food was very tasty, especially our main course curries. I can recommend the Chicken Jalfrezi. Portion sizes were generous in all cases. Price. In my opinion the prices were reasonable, although I note that other reviewers have described prices as high. Starter and mains plus drinks for two people came to £57. Decor. The decor in this restaurant is definitely what makes it stands out. I love the murals on the walls of Indian trains and shop fronts.

Beautiful place and had a fantastic evening. Decor is amazing, food was delicious and beautifully served, but above all was the service. The gents there were amazing, with one of them even entertaining my kids when they were getting bored! Can't wait to come back here and can't recommend the place enough!

We as a family really enjoyed the ambience, great service and the excellent food at Journeys restaurant, oldbury today. Every item we ordered from the starters to main course to puddings were delicious. After a long time, we felt like we ate the perfect vegetarian dhum biryani along with the non vegetarian food items. Hope the excellent quality of the food continues like this even when the restaurant gets its good name and becomes busy.

Lovely authentic cuisine for those who are looking for desi food and an English menu for those after bhunas/vindaloos and all that made up British stuff. Well decorated and friendly staff who serve with a smile and offer excellent recommendations. Mocktails are well made too.
