Great cafe and shop. The food was terrific and portion sizes were good. I went with children and the staff were very accommodating. The ice was delicious!

I love going there for lunch/coffee or just getting berries who are the best ever! Service is always great and the products on offer are of great quality! Make sure you book in advance lunch otherwise you might not get a space as always super busy!

Love their food and lots of vegetarian options too. Good range of choices for farm fresh veggies and fruits especially strawberries 🍓 during the season. Interestingly they also make their own fresh berry based ice creams which is a must have and some of the local lemon 🍋 based juices and cordial to take home. Ample spaces to free car park on-site and pram friendly too.

Visited twice in quick succession with colleagues after the first visit was so enjoyable! Highly recommend both the Halloumi and strawberry Bruschetta and the Chicken Caesar Salad. Others had equally delicious looking plates. Service was prompt and friendly and prices were very reasonable.

Went for afternoon tea which was a treat, great selection of food and a decent veggie option too.
Only negative was having to wait 15 minutes despite booking a table, but staff were friendly and it was worth the wait.

Back up in the NE for summer and on the one dry day we had yesterday went for a drive and to Barra Castle. We had a lovely natural tasting meal and ended it with the most amazing ice cream made with Mackie's vanilla and honeyberry. It was morish yet completely refreshing from start to finish. On top of that we were served by some of most delightful and friendly staff I've ever encountered in hospitality. A tremendous shout out to the staff as they were the ones who made the experience so special. We'll be back.

We have been regular visitors over the past few years and are delighted to see the growth in the farm shop and the cafe continuing , this last visit was for lunch so instead of the fab ice creams we had salads for the girls and coronation chicken mother clucker with a flat white which was perfect, service was fantastic from the young staff and its very reasonably priced , will be back again

Went for a colleague's leaving do ,for afternoon tea . Absolutely fabulous. The food was lovely and afternoon tea was savoury and sweet . Lovely atmosphere and the staff were exceedingly helpful considering how many were in our party. Would highly recommend and the strawberries are the best in the Shire.
