If I could pick this place up and transport it to my home town, I would. Excellent service (staff are great characters - they seem to enjoy having a chat with the patrons!), excellent food (highly recommend the haddock risotto!) and a lovely restaurant with great ambience. Will def come again!

We dropped in on our way back from Cumbria to Derbyshire for a spot of lunch. The staff were immediately welcoming and friendly, and the food was spot on. It's a beautiful pub which I wish was our local so that we could go more often. I would definitely recommend it to anybody who's in the area. Thank you!

First visit and won't be my last. Very cute pub with lovely decor, staff are very welcoming and attentive without being over the top. The menu has a great selection and it was very tasty. The Chilean sauvignon is very nice.

You should always book a table .or say you don't mind waiting .Dog friendly area may cause a issue with some people as the tables are close together .
This was my first visit to the Dun Cow. The food was fabulous, and the service was even better, with exceptionally friendly staff, and we were a table of 13 and a dog, so we were quite noisy 🙈
Everyone in our party said their food was fabulous and reasonably priced.

Me and my partner and our friends came for our tea last night and I can only say WOW! We all had starters, 2x chicken wings, pate and a prawn and crayfish salad, there wasnt a fault with anything! Absolutely delicious! Our mains were out of this world, and with the perfect time to let the starters settle! Braised steak in red wine sauce, chicken in mushroom and tarragon sauce, steak and ale pie and roast beef dinner! The seasonal vegetables were crisp and well cooked, not one of us spoke for 10 minutes and that takes alot to shut us lot up 🤣. Swiftly followed by warm waffle with toffe sauce and ice cream and a sticky toffee pudding and ice cream went down a treat!
We cant recommend this place more and it has become the 1st place of our "supper club" and we will definitely be back! There is always the "if you have a rubbish meal you tell 100 but a good meal you tell 10" Well we had a fabulous meal and we will tell 1000!

We visited on a Tuesday lunchtime with friends.
Ordered Fish and Chips and the Steak and Ale Pie. The food was delicious - quite large portions.
Service was excellent even though it was quite busy.
Never had a bad experience here - highly recommended!
