We were advised to make a reservation, even though the restaurant was pretty empty for lunch. Really lovely an add and the food from the specials board were amazing, slightly sad to see very small Dover sole however they were cooked to perfection. Great wine list, would recommend if you’re looking for locally caught fish in the area.
Had a fantastic evening meal on Saturday. Great atmosphere and busy. Service was excellent. The fish was superb. Good wine selection. The chocolate dessert was super tasty.

A bunch of us came here for lunch on a Saturday and it was a great experience. The restaurant is quite small with pretty basic decor, but that all adds to the rustic feel. The most important thing is the food, and that was delicious. We shared Oysters and I ordered the crab cakes for a starter and the sea bass for the main. The oysters were excellent quality and the sea bass off the bone was cooked to perfection. It was all washed down with a couple of bottles of crisp white wine that made for a most enjoyable afternoon. The bill came to £64 per person, which was reasonable considering the amount of top quality food we devoured!

We’ve been going there for years and they’ve never failed to amaze us ! Absolutely stunning and fresh seafood ! My personal favourite are the crab cakes and griddled seafood platter ! Can not fault the service either !
Absolutely superb meal here with the freshest of seafood.
The oysters served from the restaurants own oysterage were especially just fantastic.
The restaurant has a quaint charm about it and the service was friendly and attentive.
We have a range of starters and mains including white bait, mackerel pate on toast, oysters, grilled muscles.
The puddings were brilliant, too. Sticky toffee pudding (not featured in the pictures) and treacle tart
This fish restaurant is in a great location. Looking out onto the High Street. Service was quick, and the team was very responsive to our initial mix-up on arrival. Tables are close together, but this all adds to the great atmosphere. Large menu including oysters, eel, crab, grilled dover sole, skate and sea bass with additional special courses. Everyone at our table enjoyed their meals, especially the fish cakes and lobster. However, everything was a bit brown in terms of presentation. Expect to spend £60-£70 per head with drinks and 12.5% service charge.
The food here is always amazing, nothing to fault ever! Just would be so nice if you could invest a alittle on the interior, the chairs are just wood basic and so uncomfy. Chairs with cushions at least, something, end of the meal your back hurts. In the evening you should also try create a bit of ambience turn the lighting lower not on full bright and put a candle on each table would add a lot! Just some ideas anyway !
Outstanding and always delivers superior quality dishes and customer service. Been going there for many years and enjoyed it each and every time.
Specialising in fish and seafood dishes, the freshness is top and equally is the taste.
Make sure to make a booking if you are in the area.
Superb seafood and excellent, friendly service. The restaurant is spotless but functional rather than elegant. We went for the food and were delighted.
The food was really delicious in a bright, understated setting. Crab cakes were unforgettable as was the lobster. No words are adequate for the luscious chocolate-almond torte with amaretto cream. The server did an incredible job despite being alone in her very full section. Tiny thing: didn't love the salad, a bit gritty and uninspired. Would love to return!
