Lovely staff. Food was so good went back 3 hours later. All food going out was freshly prepared and looked lovely. Soup was homemade. Choice of Tomato and Basil or Broccoli and Stilton. Scones were warm out of the oven. Wish I'd taken photos. Son just starting Uni nearby. We'll be making any more visits

Close to the town centre, bus and train stations, The Edge is well worth a visit. Helpful, friendly and welcoming staff, a good range of food and drinks. All in a pleasant environment.

Visited here again this week. Friendly service and good food. Minor criticism, there needs to be less Hollandaise Sauce on the eggs 'Royale' dish. I might want to mix with the egg yolk but I want that to be my choice. Use a slice of salmon as a breakwater .... I'm nitpicking. A solid effort, 9 on 10.

Just returned home after enjoying the best afternoon tea I've had in a long time. My mum had a pot of tea, I had coffee, we were given a choice of 4 soups, sandwich fillings, fruit or plain scone, a cake, and also a couple of macaroons. All beautifully presented, and for less than £11 per person. I'm so full, I won't be eating any dinner tonight! The staff are very helpful, and extremely polite. Would definitely recommend.

Went for an afternoon tea today with my mum for mother’s day, they had loads of choices for soups, sandwiches and cake, also came with a scone, salad and crisps. Food was really nice and presented lovely. Also staff were so nice and helpful as it was our first visit. Had a really nice time. Thankyou!

Lovely quaint place I,deal for afternoon tea. It is quite small inside , so booking ahead is advisable. The staff are friendly and welcoming. There is a great selection of lunchtime meals and home made cakes.

We called in today for lunch the place was busy we had to wait about thirty minutes to get served and about another twenty to get our drinks the place was dirty they where all very young we felt like they needed some to take the helm haven said that when we got our food it was lovely we felt the place has gone down a bit

Had a lovely lunch today with my daughter and young son, who was really excited about his little cherubs afternoon tea! Daughter enjoyed jacket potato and I enjoyed the seafood platter. And we shared a big pot of tea lovely! Staff so helpful and friendly too! Will definitely be returning soon x

Perfect little gem this place. Home cooked food. Great abiance about the place. Staff lovely and food was lovely. Great choice of specials and especially choice of homemade soups. I had afternoon tea for 1 and literally so full never had a dinner that evening. Value for money. Wanted to try for ages and wasn't disappointed. Certainly be returning very soon. 👌

The food was very good with large portions, coffee was also great and hot. If there are any real negatives, the food was served on cold plates and seating is very crowded, only very very skinny people would get into the booths. The staff were lovely as is the decor, I will go again for breakfast.

Lush food. Lots of choice. Excellent Service. Yes I would go again. Just one little thing. I got my coffee at the start with the soup and sandwiches and a glass of wine. It would have been better served at the end with the cake.

We went for Afternoon Tea here yesterday 17th Feb 2017. It was a present from our neighbours and we had a wonderful time. We had soup, sandwiches , coleslaw and crisps. Scones and cakes of our choice and a huge pot of tea with a lovely knitted cosy. The food was amazing and presented so nicely. We couldn't have a a warmer welcome and although the cafe was busy the staff were very attentive. We were so full that we couldn't finish our cakes and they were promptly bagged up for us to enjoy at home. They have a varied menu and you can pop in for cake and coffee too. We will definitely be back.😊🍰

We booked this as a reunion get together, and from the initial booking made by phone we were made to feel special and pampered, the staff could not do enough for us, we had the traditional afternoon tea with a bottle of prosecco, it was fabulous, everything prepared fresh to our own specific choices attention paid to special dietary requirements, we never felt rushed or hurried and they regularly visited the table to clear away and ask if there was anything else that we would like and was it all fine, 5 star treatment we will definitely go back again, fabulous afternoon in a lovely friendly atmosphere, great venue, lovely staff, fabulous food, nothing more to add, other than roll on the next visit, many thanks girls x

What a treat it was to find this place. Was recommended it by a friend and was not disappointed. Lovely decor, quirky and original, fab menu with loads of choice for all tastes and the staff couldn't do enough for us. Took my one year old who had the kids platter and loved it, they tailored it to his age and it was presented beautifully. Needless to say our food was delicious and we will be visiting again, very soon I hope! Thanks x
