The Ship Inn - Ormskirk - Photo album

Straightforward food well cooked. Friendly staff and good atmosphere. 3 hand pulled beers on offer - recommend the Manchester Pale Ale. Nice coffee. Combine with nice canal walk in daytime
Staff in very friendly and the food it great. The portions are big. The view of the river is stunning. You can have a drink sitting outside or eat in. The path along the river is picturesque
Service was brilliant! Staff welcomed us and showed us to our table. Our drink and food orders were taken in 15mins of us arriving. Food came out quickly and piping hot. We had Lamb Roasts and both enjoyed everything on our plates. Would definitely return to try other meals as the menu looked great.
Lovely canalside pub ideal for refreshing cold beers in the beer garden on a nice day. Pub very clean. The service excellent. Nice food at reasonable prices I really enjoyed the JW Lees smooth bitter
No longer able to eat a meal outdoors regrettably, however, Sunday lunch with my Wife was delightful. Arrived in the afternoon without a booking and managed to secure a table in less than 30 minutes. Food was of excellent quality and very reasonably priced. Service was polite and friendly - nothing
Lovely pub which serves delicious food. The waitresses were very helpful and courteous. The only reason I gave it 3 stars for the atmosphere was because there were only a few people in at tea time, so it was quiet. I'm sure it's got a great atmosphere when full. Very cosy 👍
Staff very friendly. Food was delicious. We had pub grub, but all 5 of us thoroughly enjoyed our lunch. Its right on the canal so can just have a lazy drink and enjoy the view. Car park needs over hauling and the toilets need a good decoration. Will still return tho
Me and Sam (disabled in wheelchair) my mum and neice came for dinner last week. I didn't expect manager to come and help with disabled ramp she made feel good for Sam. And so did staff, I have been to this place In past with my deceased dad and uncle it's always been good experience and food and vi
What a gem of a place. It was so good to go for a walk along the canal side and work up an appetite. Menu was ideal for all ages of us 12 to 79. My caesar salad was the best I've had in a very long time.
Had a late lunch with the family. I had fish & chips - delicious. Light crispy batter, really crispy thick cut chips. Family had delicious sandwiches with skin on fried, enjoyed by all. Quiet so had a nice table looking out over the canal.
I lovely pub on the canal. Inside is a large space with a main dining area and another bar/sitting area. A group of 4, all our meals were excellent! It was summer when we were there & the World Cup was on so they had a gazebo outside with a tv to show the games. Outside there are also lots of tables
Very welcoming, lovely setting with lovely staff. Food was really nice also, gave it a 3 out of 5 for atmosphere which is no reflection on the place itself, me and the Mrs came at a quiet time on a weekday, first time here, would I come here again, that's a definite yes
We had Halloumi Fries and they were tasty well cooked and the dip wasn't too hot! I ordered the salt and pepper goujons with Fries and salad, again hot in temperature but not too spicy, the coating was done nicely and wasn't soggy! I really enjoyed this meal and would get it again. My husband orde
Great place to visit if you're passing by boat. I'm gluten free and it was no bother to them to provide me with perfectly cooked grilled fish and chips on both the occasions I've visited even when they were short staffed 😊
