Royal Oak in Green Street Green Orpington was 5*. Service was great. Massive portions and the food was to die for! Wasn't too expensive either. My new favourite restaurant!
I love this place, the food is great and the staff are friendly and really efficient. It has a very welcoming atmosphere all in all a smashing pub/restaurant
Lovely relaxed atmosphere. Made to feel welcome and staff very friendly. Good food and drink. What more could we ask.
Great pub, great decor, great staff and a lovely brand new menu. Should defo give it a try
Went three weeks ago with my sister then two weeks ago , had lovely hot meals each time , they do great big chunky chips and some lovely red wine . Served by Sarah who made us feel very welcome and had a lovely personality. We shall definitely go back.
What a lovely pub ...Clean Welcoming & Relaxing Atmosphere
just had an amazing mothers day meal at the Royal Oak. I must admit we have never had a bad meal there. Just amazing!!!
Had a lovely dinner last night at this pub. It's a Beautiful venue with friendly staff, and the food was fantastic. 5 stars well deserved and we'll be coming back many more times!
P.S. My wife really enjoyed the French Martini as well, it's rare to see it on a menu and rarer to see it made properly so special thanks to the bar staff for that one!
We had a very relaxed and enjoyable meal at The Royal Oak. The staff were helpful, attentive and nothing was too much trouble, even offering to take a family group photo. The menu was varied and offered great choice. It was beautifully presented and all meals were delicious. The drinks menu was also extensive offering both alcohol and non alcoholic options. My request to sit by one of the fires was no problem and all the interior areas of the pub had charm and character.
My only down comment would be to improve the exterior as it is looking tired and not particularly welcoming unlike the interior.
Highly recommend an evening at The Royal Oak. A French Martini was on the cocktail menu, which is one of my favourite drinks and can never find anywhere. It was made to perfection by the fabulous Danielle! More rounds were needed.
The food service by Chrissie and Jon was spectacular, they made us feel welcomed, listened too and were very attentive to our needs, as I have recently had back surgery.
The food was delicious, having the seared fillet of seabass with pea and crispy bacon voelutie, spring onion mash and steamed broccoli. It came to the table to the perfect temperature and one of the best seabass fillets I have had in a long time. Complements to the chef (Dave I believe)
My partner had the pizza, which he adored, so my homemade pizzas I try to make have to compete with this (thanks) haha.
We had lovely crumble for dessert, which delicious and brought back childhood memories.
All in all a wonderful experience, we will be again soon! With additional guests.
It’s good pub dining well presented. We were served by Chris who was an amazing host.
Unfortunately the two recent times I came here, several dishes on the menu were unavailable. Then the same happened for the desserts. We were told they were waiting for a delivery, The time before they said it was because a large table had just ordered most of the food. The food we did eat was very nice and the service was very professional. It’s a shame that the food on the menu is often not available.
Stopped here today passing by on the off chance of availability and we were very happy to get in for some lunch with my two daughters. The service immediately was so warm and welcoming. The staff strive for excellent customer service. John the waiter was attentive friendly and very professional. The food arrived swiftly and tasted incredible. Good menus with decent variety. Puddings we’re delicious and again no long wait. The prices are so reasonable too! Would love to return. Highly recommended and appreciate the amazing customer service today!
Staff were friendly, helpful and polite. Our cockapoo was made to feel welcome and water and dog biscuits was available at the entrance. The bar was lovely and cool (extremely hot outside). Food was very good and brought out quickly - perfect for an impromptu lunch
I went midweek lunch, and food and service were good. Being midweek lunch, it was quiet, which was fine by me. There was plenty of choice on the menu. I went for gammon egg and chips. Was just right. I was driving. Therefore, I didn't pay any attention to the ale selection, so I cannot comment on that.
Food was great, especially the kids' meals because they came with a healthy bowl of raw veg (pepper, carrots, cucumbers) and garlic bread and the main meal. The atmosphere is nice too. The staff who served us that day was super friendly and helpful.
Had another lovely evening at the Royal Oak, super food and wonderful service from Christopher - we’ll be back!!
My wife and I had a wonderful meal. My words were " doesn't get any better". We have only moved to the area recently and are trying all the local establishments. We dont have to try anymore. Service was excellent, decor is very nice and there was a large selection of beers. Our whole experience was great!
Had a lovely dinner Monday night at the Royal Oak with amazing service from Molly, who although was the only server on the floor, was very chatty and attentive telling us about the delicious brownie and honeycomb ice cream. Will definitely be visiting again ☺️
Nice pub that does a good roast. The pork belly was good. Staff were friendly. Lots of tables but not much parking.
We visited today and had a wonderful lunch as the food is delicious. The fishcakes are superb. The staff are so welcoming and friendly and made us feel very welcome. Will definitely return.
One of the pubs in the area where you can walk in on a Sunday without it being fully booked. Sunday roast was good quality and portion is good size. I ordered the roast rib duo (£15.50) and my husband ordered the chicken and thyme pie. Both were really good. Kids friendly and children menu has good options. We'll be back.
The food was delicious. Great vegan Wellington. The staff made the day with their friendly smiley excellent service.
Thank you 😊
