Fish cooked to order so nice & "fresh", decent portions.
However need a sign to say restaurant customers take precedence over take away sales! Even though the person serving requested fish to be cooked as per the order nothing was done until a formal complaint was made. Not impressed at all.

Lovely food and value for money. My parents favourite sunday lunch place. If i dare suggest, would be nice to have bottles of Heinz Ketchup on tables. Lovely serving staff, thanks

Large Haddock was same as a normal from most other shops so that was disappointing.
Chips were fine. Cooked well enough. Not greasy.
Overall, it was good enough, not amazing.

Used to go here regularly when I was in the area with work. As I was passing through the area we decided to stop for lunch. I've never been before for a sit-down meal and was amazed. The decor is lovely, there is plenty of choice on the menu, prices are reasonably, service was fast and the food was gorgeous. A real hidden gem.
Wow!! Just arrived home from visiting the newly refurbed restaurant and it looks amazing!!! The food was delicious and there were empty plates all round! We some how managed to save some room for pudding which was equally as good!! Some very full tummy’s but definitely worth it!!

Fantastic chippy. Its worth going just for the fish cake alone. The haddock was beautiful, the onion rings were amazing and the scraps were mouth watering. Would definitely recommend 👌
I bought fish and chips to eat at home, they put my fish on top of my chips in way that kept it away from the paper, when they were wrapped. This was great because usually when I get fish and chips (which isn't often) the fish sticks to the paper and you lose half of the batter (my favourite bit 😋).

Could be the best fish and chips in Yorkshire (not tried them all.....yet..!!). But we've not had a bad lot yet. Don't mind waiting until the fish have been freshly cooked 'cause that's what you want isn't it!
