Review The Whitecroft Indian Bar & Restaurant - Oswaldtwistle

My first visit to Whitecroft was very good. We were greeted as soon as we entered. All the waiters were attentive and friendly throughout our meal. My starter of king prawn puri was beautiful, I really enjoyed it. Possibly one of the best I've had to date. The mix starter went down well also. I opted for a lamb tikka balti madras for my main and we got all the sides of rice, chips and garlic naan. The curry was good but quite standard, it wasn't very spicy but it was nice. However, it wasn't a curry that I'd remember or would stand out. I feel the same regarding the naan bread, lovely and soft but I prefer a bit more garlic. I will definitely revisit and try something different for my main. Overall a good evening and I do look forward to returning.

Beautiful settings, lovely inside! Great service; waiters always at hand. Food was delicious, amazing curries, great portions; beautiful naans! So good we also got a collection order the weekend after! Thank you!

Came here with my friends for iftaar on our yearly iftaar outing, popadoms were nice with the chutney tray, i really liked the red sauce everywhere else its usually spicy but im not a big fan of spice, yours was sweet with a slight kick to it which was perfect, the mix grill was very nice although the lamb chops were quite chewy rather than meaty that could be somewhere to improve on for next time we come down, the keema naans were lovely one of the best i had in a while, food was lovely, staff were very friendly, the only few things i can say that could do with improving is the drinking glasses were a bit dirty so we didn't use them, the toilets were quite unclean like they hadn't been cleaned in a while, and the last one is there was only 1 staff on the floor which i understand as it was iftaar time so they were off eating and breaking their fast so i happy and respect that as we was doing the same. But we needed some drinks and had been sat there for a good 10/15 minutes waiting for staff member to finish speaking to a regular customer, we tried getting his attention many times but failed so had to stop eating our food as we badly needed a drink haha, but other than that was a good experience will be back in future inshallah, hopefully these teething issues will be fixed next time. Great food. Friendly staff that we had good banter with. Just an all-round great atmosphere. Nice selection of dishes. The main I ordered was a bit too bitter for my liking. But I sampled some of the other mains, including a vindaloo, and they were exceptional. I would recommend for a great evening.

Came on a Wednesday evening and it was nice and quiet. I really like how couples get to sit in the little booths, unlike other resteraunts that have small tables for 2 that have to usually sit in the tables that feel wedged in somewhere. Poppadoms really good, chutney tray was disappointing though, as the red sauce was runny. Starters really good, curry very good and the naan bread was very good. Overall good place, not too pricey and would return.

Fantastic atmosphere and the staff are all lovely. Attentive when needed, relaxed when not. Food was excellent but we couldn't eat it all. Will definitely be going again. Highly recommended.

Made serving a party of 40 look easy! The restaurant was very busy besides us so all credit to them. Loved the food too of course. Actually, they went above and beyond.

Went last night for my sons 18th, and I'm so glad we did. From start to finish it was a fantastic experience. I had the VIP experience-3 courses for £18, prawn puri, lamb banglore and peshwari naan, absolutely delicious. The place is spotless, the staff were kind and humorous, the food was delicious (12 of us and everyone said how delicious it was). They went out of their way to make it nice. Birthday boy got a free shot & a bottle of beer too 😃 Very happy! Thankyou to all

1st time visiting here from seeing someone mention it on facebook. So glad we tried somewhere new. The best Indian restaurant we've been too. The quality of food was amazing, service was fast and the staff where very friendly especially Riad. Price was very reasonable too. Can't fault it. 10/10 🙌

Struggle to find a fault with this place, one of the best Indian restaurants I've ever been to. The food, from the poppadoms to the curries to the mixed grills and garlic naan are delicious, the mains are full of flavour, especially the chicken kalia, 'turkish delight' and garlic masala dishes which were incredible. Staff are friendly and attentive, and it has a nice atmosphere overall. Convenient location close to Rossendale and Blackburn with a good size car park. Have enjoyed every visit to this place and will definitely be back

My first time here, we will definitely be going back again 100%. The food was out of this world. Cooked to perfection. The waiter informed me that the chef had made my food hot, and he had automatically remade it. The level of service was 10/10. The restaurant was very clean and well kept. Very reasonably priced. We explained that the wife's mother is allergic to garlic and wants to come next time. We were told that wouldn't be a problem at all, and the chef would make a fresh dish, taking garlic out of the equation altogether.

From the poppadoms and dips to the starters and mains it was yet again another excellent meal out at The Whitecroft,ten out of ten for the food and service!!

The food was delicious. The staffand management all very polite and the service was excellent. The price was exceptionally good .will go again soon 👍

Really good Indian restaurant - can't fault it at all. The place is great and the food was absolutely fantastic and reasonably priced as well as the menu being pretty extensive! We had great service and a really lovely evening - We'll definitely be back!

Great night for my mates 50th, food was tip top, could not ask for a more flavoursome curry, staff were great, plenty of parking and a great atmosphere. Cheers guys

Popped in on a Sunday for the VIP Sunday menu! Fantastic menu choice and gorgeous food at a great price. Staff very attentive and friendly. Like that it’s not buffet style which always puts me off.

Come here most saturdays. The staff never fail to disappoint as do the chefs. The best food ever. Always made to feel welcome. Great service and atmosphere. Would highly recommend x

20 of us went for NYE, fab atmosphere, food and staff! Disco on till late and fireworks at midnight! A staff member even offered to take us home when our taxi was taking for ever to turn up! This was my 1st visit but won’t be my last! Thanks to all the staff for an amazing NYE ���

We've visited the whitecroft a few times - with our young children and with friends. We are always made to feel very welcome and staff are always helpful and polite. I've tried a few different dishes and they have all been delicious. Definitely worth a visit.
