Visited here today for first time; good selection of food that was very tasty and cakes to die for which were also gluten free. Carrot cake was Devine, and lemon meringue pie was a taste of heaven. To top it all off the staff were very friendly and attentive, a must visit
What a gem. Found this place by accident yesterday and the only time I have been pleased for heavy rain as otherwise we wouldn't have ended up in here. We decided on toasties. Mine was Feta cheese, ham and tomato. Absolutely awesome. Have never had such a combination before and a definite winner. My other half had a cheese and ham one and said he'd never had one that tasted as good. We then went onto the cakes and they were equally as define. We even managed to buy some Bara Brith to bring home. It is quite obviously used by many locals (which is always a good sign). The staff are very welcoming and a lovely atmosphere. Also love that they have an area with cosy sofas and chairs where you can wait for a table or partake of a coffee or cake whilst relaxing. There is also free Wi-Fi. Whenever we visit Oswestry again we will definitely aim for this place.
Amazing food and wonderful staff. Going with a Gluten allegry they were very accommodating. Nothing was any trouble! Would recommend to anyone especially someone which a food allergy like gluten or diary.
Great ambiance, pretty decor throughout, plus option of lovely view of the park. Staff were lovely- friendly and welcoming. Food was delicious - plenty of filling in our sarnies even the salad garnish was yummy with it’s extra drizzles of purées, lovely selection of cakes! We felt truly spoilt and will definitely be back next time!

Amazing place to go and chill and relax. Food is always presented lovely and always tastes great. As for the cakes well they are all mouth-wateringly amazing. You can’t go in there and not have some cake. And I have to mention the warm welcome you get. Overall perfect in every way.
The best coffee shop in Oswestry by far, wonderful cakes all home made and loads to choose from, the bacon sandwich are amazing made on doorstop fresh bread, the staff are very friendly and Darren welcomes you like you are having tea at his house, xxx

Lovely coffee shop. Vast array of homemade cakes. I had the Lemon Meringue which tasted divine! Anyone who visits this place will not be disappointed in the size of the portions! Darren greeted us and had a laugh and a joke. All the staff are very friendly and welcoming.

Oh what a lovely afternoon. I had the quiche & salad. Tasted beautiful. Gorgeous salad. Then coffee & huge piece of Victoria sponge cake.. what a lovely place to sit eat chat and while away a few hours. Highly recommend it. The owner & staff so friendly

Just called in today. The most amazing cakes I’ve ever seen. Staff were so kind and considerate, (even looking after someone who had collapsed in the street). No visit to Oswestry will ever be complete again without a visit to The Old Coffee Pot and Tearooms. A real gem!

You will struggle to get a better slice of cake anywhere. Some people say they are pricey, but given the enormous slice of freshly made high quality cake I think they are reasonable in price. We arrived late for actual food and they gave us some free carrot cake as they felt bad for us. Also of note is that our friend a vegetarian who can't eat gluten had a good selection to choose from.

Stopped in for lunch and cake on my partner's birthday. Super friendly people and a cosy and homey place that is very dog friendly. Food was tasty and great value and our puppy got a little gravy bone that he loved. The custom cake that Rachael made for us looked amazing, tasted great and was exactly as requested. They even set up a little display stand next to our table for it. Thank you Rachael and Darren for helping to make the day special!

This place is an absolute gem.
Despite the unassuming and small front, there is a larger area to the rear with more seating and a massive array of glorious cakes on display.
We went in with our daughter (20 months) and the staff were super-accommodating and very helpful with getting a high chair and keeping her settled and entertained. We had a lovely time and the food was excellent. I can't recommend this place highly enough.
One of the warmest welcomes I’ve ever received whilst going out to eat. This husband and wife run cafe was charming and the gentleman was very accommodating when it came to ordering our food. We got some homemade chicken and veg soup and a panini. The portions were very healthy which is always a bonus. We couldn’t possibly fit anymore food in before leaving but bought some cake to take away as it just looked too delicious!
