I used to live in Otley for 12 years and Maypole was by far my favourite fish shop, tried them all, but nobody else comes near for taste and quality. I've lived in Rawdon now for the last 4 years, but still prefer Maypole by far to any near us unfortunately. My parents love it here, so we celebrated
We came to Otley for the great north show the show was fantastic on the way back to the B&B we found the maypole fish and chips what lovely surprise the staff were friendly.....now the fish and chips what can I say fantastic they reminded me of the kind I used to have as a boy lovely chips l

Consistent good meal in the small restaurant, good quality fish and batter is perfect for me anyway.
Perfectly cooked, flakey haddock with crispy batter. Large portion of chips. Good value for £8. I’ll return when next in the area.
Had the pleasure of working at this fish shop and can happily say the standards are 5 stars and the staff very friendly and professional 5 stars again, and the fish and chips of course another 5 stars
The Best Fish and Chips in Yorkshire, absolutely 💯 gorgeous, lovely flaky Haddock, crispy batter with none of the white sticky uncooked "stuff" under the batter, just lovely crispy batter, ( Well Done and Lightly Battered as we asked for)!

Decent sized fish sandwich.. bread bun wasn’t dry and held its own under the fish, ate around 8pm so Expected the bread to be drier..
Fish was well cooked and tasted nice.. inc can of pop paid around £7
