Tried Sunday lunch for the first time, excellent!
Great idea different portion size, I had medium, more than enough.
Really enjoyed a hot well cooked meal, will be back again.
Nice old school feel pub with some nice ales and seems to be popular with regulars who know each other and the bar staff.
Got booked in for Sunday lunch and it was really good. Got a large meal with mixed meats and all were tasty as were the Yorkshire and roasts.
Came here with a friend for a mid week lunch, cheap prices, cheerful staff and lovely home made food! I had the lasagne which I can highly recommend, along with cheesy chips which were equally as tasty!! My friend had the chicken fajitas which were absolutely delicious and had the other diners with plate envy!! Large beer garden to the rear which is lovely in summer!!! Would return and recommend to friends!
Best Sunday dinner I have had out. Food hot and homemade. Lovely staff and atmosphere. Will definitely be back.

Monica and Andy run a great local pub. Good range of beers and gins and the food is as good as, if not better than homemade (don't let my wife know I said that).
Down for the weekend from Sunderland to meet our son, daughter-in-law and Grandson. Called in for dinner (that's 12-1ish); not lunch! Typical old style pub, no aires or graces, well maintained in a traditional style. Really friendly staff willing to go an extra mile to meet our daughter's needs. Food was fantastic, a proper Sunday dinner.
Can't wait to go back (oh and to see grandson naturally).
