Nice restaurant in Ottawa!
Perfect spot for tourists looking for good meals, a place not overcrowded, fair price, good service and close to the main town's attractions.
The place is child friendly, I have to say mainly by the staff!
The food tastes great, the price is fair.
I love the all day breakfast options!
It worths the visit. I will certainly keep Capital Diner in mind for my next trip to Ottawa!

Fast service, generous portions, and quality food. I had the Reuben sandwich and it was absolutely delicious. The smoked meat was very lean and the fries are to die for!

It wasn't the cleanest but it has great hospitality and we felt very welcome. The food was great :) their aren't alot of dairy free options in terms of desserts but the place is worth sacrificing that. It very homey and the pictures of Ottawa on the walls are beautiful

The home style food is very comforting after a long day at work. The spaghetti with meat balls deserves to be the first dish on the dinner menu. Service is pretty good as well. Will come back again and try the steak next time!

Fantastic! I'm so glad I popped in, great home made classic (bacon and eggs) plus some fun options like an egg club sandwich. Also real maple syrup!!

I popped into Capital Dinner on a snowy Sunday for a late breakfast and it was fantastic. Large restaurant, standard Diner fare, large portions, reasonable prices and down to earth, friendly staff. Will definitely return.

Despite having many large group reservations this morning, the staff was helpful, attentive, and professional.
You really can't go wrong for the price. We paid $6.99 for a 2 egg breakfast - and you must try their beans. Everyone raved about the beans! The food was cooked to our satisfaction and came quite quickly (despite the large groups!!!). They were accommodating to my request to forgo the meat in the meal for a substitution - so very vegetarian friendly!
Our cups of coffee were never empty and we never had to wait long for the waiter to come back.
Overall this was a fantastic experience and I would definitely recommend it!
One downside: the restaurant is not accessible. You need to take a small flight of stairs up to the entrance.
