Bridgehead Coffeehouse

Best espresso in Canada! Probably not but this is the best I could find on my 2-weeks trip cover Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal. I bumped into this place by accident while exploring the nice neighbourhood just behind the Cathedral. The Café looks like a property agent from outside but it was a nice smell of coffee in the air that took me in. It was simple, clean, friendly atmosphere inside. My espresso was strong, intense, aromatic with earthy taste. Totally recommended.

Staff and service was excellent. I was a little disappointed with the coffee selection; no Ethiopian. They suggested to try the "Honduran roast", stating that it is rich, bold and chocolatey. Disappointment again; just as bitter as every other South American bean. Sorry guys, nothing beats Ethiopian coffee.

We drink a lot of coffee, from a lot of places, but none of them have a such an incredible team! Expert service, and excellent skills!! The new manager Amanda is a true gem of the neighbourhood , and leads the team beautifully. In these lonely times this Bridgehead location always makes you feel warm and welcome!
