Go to Oundle regularly but this is the first time we've popped into this smallish but perfectly formed Waitrose branch.
All well set out, things easy to find. Good scan as you pay system and a very useful top up shop after visiting Oundle Wharf and the Tap &. Kitchen for a bite of lunch.
Well set out car park and facilities. All in all excellent!
Oundle Waitrose, a modern small to medium sized store. Plenty of parking snd trolley stores. The staff are always very friendly and exceptionally helpful. The store has a deli counter, a bakery, beers, wines and spirits sections. There is a good balance of essential groceries and other Waitrose luxury items. Queues are usually reasonable.
Cafe reopened also free coffee for MyWaitrose card holders. June 23 shortages of some items especially on Saturday. No butter at all due to fridge failure yesterday.
I’ve slipped at Waitrose for years, and am a huge fan. However, although the staff are lovely, this shop runs out of items too often. It’s only a small shop, although some of the basics should always be available. Also, the vegetables are sometimes tired and soft.
Lovely shop.. Always use it when we come to stay.. All the produce is fresh and very good quality. And the staff are so helpful and polite.. Recommended..
A medium sized store, well stocked for most produce.
Limited organic range, which was a disappointment.
Unsure as to whether they ever stock Wild Salmon rather than farmed, which again is a shame.
On my recent visit the staff were all very friendly, helpful and considerate of shoppers, bar one - perhaps it was a bad day for him but the fellow serving on the meat counter needs to learn customers are not an inconvenient nuisance interrupting him that he needs treat with surly indifference.
The store is a modern and reasonably stocked one, however during my visit at 09.20 we were told that the sausage baps were off. I do find this very amusing as they had plenty on the shelves. We settled for the bacon baps
(ciabatta), the bread was nice and fresh but severely lacking in the bacon department.
The staff here are fantastic after such a stressful ordeal for me as my daughter was locked in the car this morning along with my keys. The staff was so helpful letting me use their phone to call the AA and even bringing me a coffee. They also gave my little girl some chocolate once the AA got Her out I really can't thank you all enough!
Lovely store and a really well thought out car park. Managed to get a space near the entrance due to the layout of the car park.
Great items and a lovely store. Would recommend and will be back again soon.

In and out using self scanner, checked out really fast with everything I went in for.
I only have two small gripes with this store. It can be a little picked over at times...I suspect because they see more business than they are prepared for from neighboring townsfolk. While I understand this may just be the "grocery culture" of the UK, it would be nice if the cashiers assisted the customers in some way with bagging, or if baggers were hired. This seems to be what contributes to longer lines building up when the store gets busy. Otherwise, this is a lovely Waitrose that I am happy to visit regularly. Their produce selection is my favorite!
Shop is ok but cafe lacks management. Young staff are pleasant but lack experience & management. Food cabinet lacked selection for a quick bite & that was Sunday 1st Oct circa 12.30hrs. Not a reliable stop.
Great shop, parking and team, nothing is too much trouble and although smaller than other stores, it has a lot of variety.
I go here to get my lunch. I have no choice, because the other option is the services at the A1 and that's just not going to happen, is it?
So maybe the five stars are a bit like Stockholm Syndrome. I'm rating it positively even though I'm forced to go to it every day to buy the same box of carrot sticks with humous and the same Octopus salad, like it's some kind of middle-class prison canteen.
Still, it's clean, there's plenty of car parking spaces and you get to put a green plastic coin in a box.
Standard Waitrose store, nice small / medium size. Plenty of parking
LOvely boy Oscar serving on till when power went down in Oundle and so very charming. Unlike the rude Alison ( lady )!!! PLEASE more staff like him. Hope your all coping in the heat ;)
