Excellent food and service. The cakes are superb, there’s always a great selection with some creative combinations to set the taste buds tingling.
Consistently the best venue for breakfast, coffee, lunch and/or cake in the area. Warm welcoming service. Delicious food. Well priced. Good range of seating options inside and outside. Clean facilities.
A great little cafe attached to the garden centre. I’ve been here several times and I’m always excited to see what’s ok the specials. Very welcoming staff and delicious food. Can be a little expensive but reasonable.

Overall the price of the food/drinks at The Boxwood Cafe is fantastic. The price you pay for the food and drinks you receive is extremely good.

On this particular day the speed of service was fine. The main Front of House was great and the ladies there were really respectful, very well mannered and polite. The service of food and drinks was very quick!

Overall quality of my food was extremely good and high quality. Receiving a 3 towers for my afternoon tea was very good. There was a Nice variety of flavours and combination of foods was amazing. The desserts were really well made and extremely refreshing!

Since the start of the pandemic all our once favourite places to eat have been disappointing at best if not downright unpleasant. Not so with the Boxwood Cafe. It`s the only place where the food has remained a consistently high standard. We`re always met with a friendly welcome and the service is prompt. On top of that it`s the only place that offers a good range of gluten free cakes that are actually appetising both to look at and to eat. Most places seem to think that those of us who are gluten free have no desire to eat anything remotely pleasant, and will be happy with something akin to oven-baked cardboard. It`s advisable to book in advance to avoid disappointment, and if I had one piece of advice to improve an otherwise perfect experience, it would be `please keep it dog free!`
We returned again to this lovely spacious cafe where you always get a lovely welcome, your dog too! We all enjoyed a delicious lunch which was presented beautifully. Once again excellent customer service. We will be back.
We visited this cafe for the first time today, having been to Oundle's Farmer's market. I was really, really impressed by the quality of the food and the service.
Some of the best coffee I've had locally and the baked goods looked superb! My cheese scone was very good.....
Note! A lot of the tables had been reserved for lunch and the website gives a number for telephone reservations, which it would be worthwhile considering at the weekend.

Lovely lunch here today. Friendly and efficient staff and I was given a choice of 3 vegan dishes that weren't on the menu - really accommodating. The chips were lovely too !!
