I went with my friends to this place to enjoy the amazing weather we are having this weekend. I absolutely enjoyed the place. The garden outside is amazing and they are dog friendly. We didn’t have a booking but we called 20 min before to ensure they were still taking people for lunch. The service was quick and professional. The food was great and the price was affordable. I really enjoyed my burger and my friends liked their food. I am also lactose intolerant and they were very attentive ensuring my food met with that requirement.

My first visit to the Ship Inn and we weren’t disappointed. Food was good and varied and there was a nice selection of fresh ales
Look out for low ceiling beams!
Used to go here as a child and now come back with my nephew and is still such a lovely place really enjoyed the food and drink and beautiful garden area
We have been to The Ship Inn on several occasions and just keep coming back.
The food is always great quality, really tasty and many of the dishes incorporate ingredients from the garden. The battered fish and chips are a particular favourite of mine for a pub dinner and The Ship Inn has one of the best I've had anywhere.
The Sunday roasts are really popular (it can be worth booking) and a great meal - the Yorkshire puddings and beef being a particular high point.
Not only is the food really tasty and good quality, it is also great value - I'm always pleasantly surprised how small the bill is for such a great meal!
Service is always friendly and welcoming with Devon being worthy of special mention - always polite and friendly she clearly drives the high standards.
We live about 15 minutes away in Bramdean and found this little gem 💎
Due to lockdown we haven't explored our surroundings properly and so this beautiful pub will be added to our top 5 pubs to go out and dine. The location was great. Plenty of parking. The menu was great for choice and very local produce, from their garden too.
The staff was lovely and attentive and knowledgeable which ALWAYS helps. The decor was nice and quirky for its name is reflected in the interior design.
The actual food was beautifully presented, the portion sizes perfect and the taste of each dish was very well executed! So much so we are booked in again over the Mother's Day weekend 🙌 🤗 ☺️ Thank you The Ship Inn see you again soon 😊
Lovely space for dinner in their restaurant area, we then returned for a drink in the bar the next day. Great pub!
If you're looking for a more countryfied, homespun pub this is it...and it's lovely. Nice garden too.
But the eye-opener is the food. It's not good... it's amazing. Check out the menu online then go and enjoy. You won't be disappointed. I'm definitely going back...
Service, welcoming without being obtrusive. The menu has old favourites and creative dishes to tempt a slightly different palate. Lovely ambience of a country pub, just right to celebrate our wedding anniversary.
Were down at Marwell lodges for the weekend and decided to come here for Sunday Roast. Staff couldn't have been more friendly and accommodating and the food was excellent 👌🏻. Beautiful seating area outside that we didn't get to use as it was raining. I highly recommend.
Lovely little pub/restaurant. The food was lovely the only issue we had was the burger buns were cold and because the meat was juicy it led to the bun getting a little soggy but other than that the food was great the chicken and beef were cooked perfectly. The service was great, the food came out really quickly and the bar staff were welcoming.
