Came tonight for a birthday celebratory tea and had a fab evening. Started with drinks in the garden, then moved to our table for 7, nicely situated in an alcove. Different dietary requests- vegetarians, gluten free- amply catered for by knowledgeable staff. Went straight in with mains- each one different and each enjoyed...specially crab linguine and individual pies. Puds...choc brownies, lemon meringues, sticky toffee and great cheeses!! Thank you for great service and lovely food at a very reasonable price! We may well be back!

We visited Jacobs Inn on Saturday we took some friends to help celebrate their 40th birthday - couldn't recommend the place more, fantastic food, wonderful atmosphere, staff couldn't do enough for us, very attentive friendly even with all the children charging about the place - a must visit.

The mussels they have here are absolutely amazing. The biggest and best I’ve ever had. The pie also had the best pastry I’ve ever had.

Fantastic and quirky pub. I dropped in on a cold Tuesday morning and they had a roasting fire going and a good turn out. The pub is packed with character - even the toilets look like they came from a Victorian mansion! They have pigmy goats in the large beer garden and plenty of comfy seats, great selection of drinks and a menu for everyone.

Under new ownership. Soon to be called The Wolvercote. The lady behind the bar was very friendly. Clearly the place is in a state of flux/transition but I wish them very well as it's a nice place in a great spot and has lots of potential.

What a great pub. Very dog friendly with a big beer garden. Very trendy feel to the whole place and right next to a huge meadow next to the river Thames that you can walk your dog in. The staff were very friendly and the atmosphere was happy and fun. Great place to bring children as there is a good park right on the opposite side of the road. Only reason it's 4 stars and not 5 stars is because the food was slightly cool when it got to us (the waitress thought we were outside but we were in the bar area) and then the red wine sauce didn't pack the flavourful punch I was expecting and it was very watery so I found that it totally let down the meal. If the sauce to the pie was thicker and had more flavour then this would of definitely had a 5/5 rating from me!!

Love this place. I’ve only ever been for drinks so cannot comment on the food, however the do appear to have vegan and vegetarian options. Really enjoyed having drinks here, whether a morning/afternoon coffee or a cocktail or glass of wine in the evening. There is a lovely big garden terrace area. The staff are very friendly and professional.

What a cracking roast! My chum & I had a chicken 🐔 roast here last Sunday, it was divine, the service was excellent too. It came with cauliflower cheese and a Yorkshire pudding, spot on 👍

We had a nice meal here. There is a nice atmosphere inside with all different antique items placed around the pub. The food itself was well presented. The Caesar Salad was particularly large and the Guinea Fowel was tasty. Service was quick and we didn't have to wait long for our food at all. The staff were courteous and polite too. Two things I would mention are the Eton Mess could have had more strawberries on it. Also a service charge of 12.5% was automatically added to the bill for four people. We did tip, but would like to choose our own amount.

Great pub with top notch food and beer. New couple have only been there a short while but have totally transformed the place. See you again soon.
