Great spot to get takeaway ice cream in oxford. Their ice-cream is very creamy and made in-store. They have some really unique flavours. We tried a few from the sorbets to some really rich flavours. My personal favourite was the coffee and honeycomb 😍 the actual honeycomb pieces were an amazing touch. Their seating area is not the greatest and can use a bit of a facelift but the friendly staff more than make up for it. I recommend getting takeaway ice cream and taking a walk around oxford.

Interesting flavours, got the mint(which isn't green) and the white gold I think it's called which has cookie dough. I liked it, would recommend

Absolutely brilliant cute place for ice cream, cakes, breakfasts or even a bagel. Such a wide exciting selection of classic and slightly less traditional flavours. The hot chocolate is also delicious! Very sweet interior design and friendly atmosphere. There is more seating downstairs. Definitely recommend for breakfast, brunch snack or just a hot chocolate!

Really bright, fresh and clean inside . Delicious ice cream and an AMAZING bagel! You saved me as I thought I'd be 'lunchless'. Very reasonable prices and nice friendly staff, I'll definitely come back next time I'm in town.

Amazingly tasty freshly made waffle sundae. Good range of ice cream flavours. However, the server seemed very grumpy.

Probably the best ice cream in Oxford! We went for mango sorbet and yoghurt ice cream which were both really yummy! Creamy texture, not overly sweet. I'd recommend takeaway so you're not tempted to go for a second one ;)

If you're looking for a sweet treat in Oxford, George and Davis Ice Cream is a must-visit spot. Not only is the ice cream delicious, but they offer a wide variety of unique and exciting flavors that are sure to please any palate. One of the standout flavors for me was the dark chocolate orange - it's rich, creamy, and bursting with flavor. Another favourite of mine for fruit lovers, is the raspberry sorbet, a must-try. It's decadent, smooth, and perfectly balances the sweetness with a slightly bitter edge. But it's the more unique flavors that really set George and Davis apart. So if you're feeling adventurous, they host a number unique and unexpected flavors to delightful and surprise you, a perfect way to mix up your usual ice cream routine. The quality of the ice cream at George and Davis is top-notch. The flavors are always fresh and the texture is smooth and creamy. Plus, the friendly and knowledgeable staff are always happy to help you find the perfect flavor. Visiting G&D's is an absolute must when visiting Oxford, if not this store, but one of the three locations in Oxfordshire.

The staff is super friendly but clearly too few; lineups are way too long although the desserts are incredible and worth it. The lemon and citrus sorbet was a super nice and light recommendation. The coffee is just average. Can’t have it all!

A+ for the ice cream, but a C- for the service! We had to wait 40 minutes in the line to get our ice cream since there were only one person working the line. Aside from that, the ice cream was amazingly fresh and delicious. Its not as sweet, but has that creamy goodness taste full of flavor. One thing to remember, it is ice cream and not Gelato, therefore, please be cognizant of eating the creamy goodness since it will taste and feel different from a Gelato.

A fantastic place to visit if you are looking for something sweet but also for a snack. They offer a good range of choice, from the bagels and breakfast dishes to the desserts and ice creams. The place is not too big but you will find some seats and tables to eat in. The staff is kind and ready to full-fill your wants. I took the “cookie monster” that is an ice cream (I picked the oreo flavoured one) between two big warm cookies dessert. Absolutely fantastic. Both the cookies and the ice cream were truly delicious. I will probably jump in again if I would pass in front of the shop, because I am curious about all the other stuffs they are offering. A very positive and remarkable note must be done about the cleaning of all the local. Tables, chairs, floor and especially bathroom were tidy and shiny. Nice job! The position is not so close to the city centre, but with a ten minutes walk from there you will be able to reach the shop. It is worth the diversion from the city tour, I promise.

Very nice ice cream in a pleasant setting. I had the after midnight (mint chocolate) after tasting a few of the options. Other flavours tried by member of my family included chocolate, hazelnut and daim bar crunch. The ice cream was very "creamy" but perhaps lacked the intensity of flavour that I would have wanted. However I enjoy the visit and would recommend it to other who are in the area to try their ice cream.

Had a lovely Brownie Sundae with Super Chocolate Ice cream. I've been coming to G&Ds for years. Their ice creams are without question the best in Oxford. Don't be afraid to ask to try a seemingly wacky flavour, you could be pleasantly surprised.

I was staying at Somerville college and G&Ds was right there to save me from all the break between meals! I'd go there ALL THE TIME. I miss how fresh and tasty their waffles were and their salad and ice cream and everything that I tried. ❤️

G&Ds (George & Davis) - Oxford, England. The first shop of G&Ds to open up, George & Davis - as well as the other locations - is an ice cream cafe in Oxford. This was very unique when it first opened up filling in a niche. At any time of the day, this hub is extensively popular. Upon trying the ice cream I could easily see why.

I have been to many ice cream parlours and the service here is much better than most. They are very quick, quite patient and friendly.

As far as the George & Davis branch goes, it is akin to a mini diner. There is a mix of simple furniture (often high, for a short man like myself I have to hoist myself up and down) and characteristic decorations. It feels relaxed and fun in comparrison to the pubs around the place.

I had been told about their "Cookie Monsters" which are a choice of an ice cream scoop (from a frequently rotating array) sandwiched between two of a choice of cookie. If that sounds like heaven - it is.
Going here after dinner with my dining buddy. we both got a Cookie Monster, mine blueberry icecream on Double Chocolate and my dining buddy brown bread on Ginger, Oatmeal & Raisin. The brown bread was a surprise; it was akin to bread & butter pudding and actually delicious.
The Cookie Monster is very robust and is a challenge to get through. Both component combine very well and it is certainly recommended to try it.

The Cookie Monster is just one of the items on the menu at George & Davis, but even if it was the only item there I would love to go back many times.
