The White Hart pub has been taken over by other people in the last year or so or so the brochure says, don't know them just know the owner is the guy in the cap. Have been there three times in last 2 weeks with my husband and then with other family. The staff were so friendly not false friendly just good friendly, the setting is lovely , and although it was packed today as of good weather they still managed to accommodate us outside, where i could have a smoke without feeling an outcast. The food was really really tasty, plenty of meat and the selection of vegetables were fantastic that our daughter of eleven even had carrot and broccoli and cleared my yorkshire pudding as well as hers. My husband loved it, the meat was excellent, he had mutton, i had beef and daughter had chicken and we couldn't decide which was the best because it was all soo good. We went to their shop after and met a lovely romanian girl and treated ourselves to the ketchup, garlic, lemons, eggs, every thing was so fresh, we just hope that they start doing bread in the shop soon and maybe irish brown bread then we would really be in heaven. If you haven't been there in a while we would truly recommend giving them a try, it was really good food and not expensive i will definitely be bringing my business and family guests there as it is quality all round at a decent price unlike some other places in the region. We returned to oxford three months ago and yes it is expensive in most places to eat out but this place is definitely worth every penny for the peace, tranquility, mixture of people and dogs!(four legged) , and the portions are generous. I hope they do well as every member of staff we spoke to had their heart in the place and the stables are gorgeous. O'Neill family

Came for the Sunday market at the back garden of this community pub. There are some really good local produce and products. Two bakery stands that sell fresh and yummy bread and pastries. One African stand that sells warm food, like curries and stews. There’s a fresh vegetable stand, a jam stand and some olive oil stand. Price reasonable, like one pastry costs £2-3. Recommend to pop in if you’re local or around in wolvercote on the Sunday morning. The market runs 10am to 12 noon every Sunday.

such a great place if you're after amazing ales and to chat with friends. went there last night for the first time and had a DELICIOUS drink of North Cotswold jumping jack flash. it's community owned too and a CAMRA pub, so let's keep it going, folks!

Nice little pub to have a few drinks and a meal with family and friends away from the busy city.

Lovely, community-run village pub. More low key than the other 2 up-market pubs in the village, but I prefer that. Good, simple food and an ever varying selection of ales. Dog friendly. Recommended.
