It's our Go To Chinese. The food is always piping hot on arrival. We don't usually wait 'an awful long time' either.

I had to find an alternative take away as my local one closed. After a recommendation I tried Lucky Chopsticks and I wasn’t disappointed. I had a salted chilli chicken starter and honey chilli chicken which were both lovely and not lacking in chicken. They do charge delivery but it’s not very much.

Kind staff, delicious food! The chow mein has wonderful smokey wok hei to it and I so enjoy the black pepper chicken. I shared my black pepper chicken here, kindly made without mushrooms as they’re not my fave. The portion on the plate is only about half of the portion (the rest is in the tub) and half of the rice I ordered, which is lovely and means I get to have the rest for lunch. The mini spring rolls are delightful and crunchy even when delivered, and my partner likes the crispy won tons. Delivery sometimes takes a bit and I think we may have had a night with a different chef where our usual orders tasted a little different, but when your food is made fresh by real people, every once in a while that’ll happen. If you come in in person, there’s a little bench to sit and wait for your order to be ready. Never takes long. To those being unkind and impatient in your reviews, quit it. It’s not necessarily the restaurant’s fault your order took a while to get to you. Delivery drivers are going to dozens of new places and encounter all sorts of odd scenarios just trying to bring you food. Be kind. And to those considering giving this place a try, it’s lovely, give it a shot! :)

Really nice, tasty and hot food.
The only negative point is that I have ordered chicken and mushrooms soup, and got chicken and sweet corn soup. To make it worse, aí don't fancy corn, at all!

Best stir fried noodles you can get from any takeaway in the area (highly recommend the duck with Chinese egg noodles).
Fantastic dim sum with a great selection available. Awesome cha siu buns too.
The honey or chilli garlic spare ribs are delicious. Thai curries are surprisingly good too and go great with their mushroom fried rice.
They have all the staples you could hope for from a local Chinese. I have given up on all of the places in Abingdon and only order from Lucky Chopsticks - it’s unbelievable how no other place can nail fried noodles like this place!
They forgot one of the items in my order today and before I could even give them a call, another driver turned up to deliver the forgotten item and even included another bag of prawn crackers (unnecessary but a very kind gesture and shows how much the restaurant cares).
Order off their website, ditch the takeaway apps. Much better value and their website is really easy to use on mobile. You’ll need cash though (which you won’t realise until you go to pay).
To all at Lucky Chopsticks, thank you for being so consistently amazing even throughout the stress of lockdown. We’re so lucky to have your kitchen in our area.
