Hubbard's Off Main

Nestled in beautiful Downtown Oxford lies Hubbard’s Off Main, perhaps the best Southern-Style restaurant I have ever eaten at! The atmosphere is amazing, it feels like a big deal AND very causal all at the same time. The food was phenomenal; everything was cooked to perfection! My fiancée and I began with the fried pickle Spears, which were steaming when they came out. The breading was crispy without overpowering the pickle, which is very hard to do. Our entrees were the chicken finger basket and the fried catfish po’boy. All of the flavors were phenomenally balanced; nothing was lacking in the flavor department. We finished our lunch with the banana pudding, which was the perfect ending to our meal. Everything was affordable as well, which is hard to find nowadays. Our server, Claudia was on point with her service as well. Our food came out hotshot quick, plus our drinks were never empty. If you’re in the area, I highly recommend eating at Hubbard’s, you won’t regret it!

Hubbard's off of main is one of the best restaurants in this area without a doubt. I could not suggest this place more if you're wanting a nice sit-down dinner if you are looking for a place that will not break the bank that has a very nice atmosphere is clean well ran and has food that is well above the price that is being asked this is the spot.

This was the highlight of our trip to Anniston. Our server, Savanah, was exceptionally friendly and attentive, the place was very clean, atmosphere and decor were perfect and most importantly....food was amazing. Thank you for a great experience! Tried to get a food photo but everything was gone too fast!

I loved the place! The ambiance was relaxing and interesting, the staff was friendly and it had a music vibe. The table bread was warm and tasty, the salad was fresh and crisp. I ordered the meatloaf with mashed potatoes and mac&cheese. The meatloaf was fantastic!! The potatoes were seasoned well, but the macaroni and cheese i do not recommend it was more like pasta in cream sauce. I also had sweet tea and banana pudding, both could've been a little more sweet but they were good nonetheless. I highly recommend this place! I will definitely return, tbh i might get takeout there tonight! They hosted a retirement dinner for a coworker, they're capable of hosting large parties.

We just had a meal here last night and from the moment we walked in the door until we left, we received the best and friendliest service, some VERY delicious food, and had just an excellent dining experience. We have eaten here before with brunch and a few events, but we never knew that the "regular" dining experience here was this good. Our grouper fish and chips and chopped steak were excellent. The pimento cheese appetizer and bread was great, and the salted caramel brownie and ice cream was just perfect with our very fresh cups of coffee. In an age where places seem to give you smaller portions and the help is of course unpredictable at best, it is refreshing just to walk into a place tired from a day of painting an office to get a great meal and great service. We WILL be back.

Great location and really clean. The reason for a two star review is that there is no mention of a buffet only w very limited selections anywhere. We get there and they were not ready for guests at opening. We waited almost 30 mins after opening for them to be ready to serve guests at their buffet. Would have rather came on a regular business day to enjoy the food than Sunday buffet. We were traveling and didn’t know anything about the area and chose this location due to great reviews.

Dinner was lovely. I had the shrimp & grits. It came with a salad, they let you pick which one. I chose the Greek. My fiance had a chicken dish - I can't remember the name, but not the piccata or marsala. He loved it. The okra and brussel sprouts were both very good as well. The atmosphere was great. Tons of character. Our server was very helpful and attentive.

The Low Country Chicken is truly awesome. The Shrimp and Grits was downright amazing, this was some of the best I have ever had. The banana pudding was also some of the best I’ve ever had. With the music and the decor, this was one of the best restaurants I’ve eaten at in Alabama. I would highly recommend if someone is passing through Oxford in Alabama that they should eat here.
