Mazatlan Mexican Restaurant

My Family and I (who by the way are visiting from New Jersey) Wanted Some Good Food Before We Went Shopping. My Cousins Boyfriend (from Here) Suggested This Place and We Are So Happy He Did!! From the southern hospitality to the delicious food we were beyond pleased with the service. Thank You So Very Much for serving us good, fresh, and hot southern food. From the Empanadas to the Fat Back, to the Sweet Tea...We All Were full and satisfied!!! I also want to add the prices are VERY REASONABLE!!! AGAIN Thank You and We will return very soon. Didn't know this was a Mexican restaurant until I got the menu. I was charged over $44 for what was supposed to be only $18. This place over charged me and I will never go back. Ridiculous how they took advantage of us just because we aren't from around there. We spoke to the waitress and explained how we were just passing through and wouldn't be back.... Then the bill came and was twice what it was labeled in menus. The food was far less than expressive and looks nothing like the pictures on Google. I am more than upset at the way we were handled. The food comes on Styrofoam plates and my friend ordered a steak. Yea.... paper plates and plastic utensils. This place is a prime example of why I don't believe that all small restaurants should be successful. Huge thumbs down for this place!

We originally got the tip that they had a bologna burger here so decided to check it out finally. I was happy to see that this was a Mexican place and that it didn't wasn't in the speedy Gonzales and numbered lunch family of establishments. One thing that could be a drawback is sodas are sold by the bottle and only tea or water comes in something you can get refills in as far as I know. But they have Jaritos and horchata, so. I had fried chicken tacos, which are kind of like taquitos at other places, little fried tubes of meat. Very tasty with salad, rice, cheese and beans. And the spicy green sauce on the side was really good. Put it on everything. My husband had a Cuban. It looked like it had a hot dog or sausage on it, but I was assured their take was absolutely delicious. They have a lot of breakfast options - not sure if they serve all day, but I want to come back and try some more things. Very tasty.

Lived in area for a while decided to try this spot out got Chicken empanadas, rice, beans, agua de Jamaica very disappointed the water had a bitter taste almost like it had been sitting out too long, didn't like the flavor/seasoning of the food not authintic at all. If you want authintic flavorful food try out Tita's

I ordered the steak fajitas but I didn't like the fried steak because it was tuff. But my grandson enjoyed his Taco's and ate 95 percent of the two. My daughter had Taco's also and she felt the Taco's were pretty decent. I would go back only to try something else on the menu because maybe I'm missing out on something. Something must be good and delicious there because of the steady stream of customersand the customers dining in.

Not knowing the area Im glad we stopped here. We both had mixed fajita plates. Ive eaten fajitas all over the U S and a couple times in Mexico. These were the best I can remember. Restaurant itself was very clean but sparsely furnished. Go ahead and dine in you will be glad you did. We will be back soon.
